I'm not sure what you mean by "within the sphere in which you exist". The attention he brought was negative and he had nothing to put on the line.
I see nothing deserving of "Citizen of the Year". Not a thing.
He's on the cover. Bruce is on several covers and won "Woman of the Year".. That just means they're on the cover. Participation awards mean little.
I'll point out JJ Watt every day if I'm talking role models and great citizens. I won't mention Kaepernick. I don't know too many who will.

The sphere I exist in is progressive and against the brutality of police .. noted by those who thanked the OP. That's the sphere in which I exist.

Now how do we get to the next step after we are done patting Colin on the back? How do we get the police to stop killing unarmed citizens? How do we get the judicial system to stop letting cops off the hook?
We have to start over and build new police forces that weed out bad cops and have greater accountability and we need policies that remove conflicts of interest between law enforcement and the courts.
I think we need to bring in the national guard to stand in for the police while we replace them with newly trained ones.

Yes, it is transparent that when I don't understand something, and say so, it really means I don't understand something.
God has blessed me with a lot but he didn't bless me with knowing everything. Therefore, yes I'm transparent again, I'll ask someone their opinion or perspective in trying to better understand something.
I've read Lawrence Jackson's twitter feed for awhile. He's talked about Kap but he's spoken about much more as I mentioned. I admit, I don't fully understand his goals. I'm not afraid to admit it (like a lot of things I don't know or understand well). I asked BAC his thoughts or opinions on it. I'm assuming if that's wrong to do he'll let me know
