Yes, you did race bait. Saying it was "the black guy" and "nobody else" is a clear indication you believe that people want to know this because they are racist, you ignore that the candidate in the very same election on the opposing side who was "white" certainly faced the same question of eligibility, including with lawsuits about it where they indeed did request his BC.No, you're wrong. As is typically the case, you just refuse to acknowledge it. McCain did not "face lawsuits for his BC." McCain did face lawsuits challenging his eligibility for the office, but his place of birth was not dispited, unlike Obama.
Was he asked for birth records and did people demand to see the long-form birth certificate after the produced the short form or did someone just claim that he wasn't born in Vermont and write a book about it?
First, I didn't race bait. I was merely explaining why a black guy might take issue with the demand.
And I only had one "it never happened" and guess what? It never happened.
If there were long-form BC's at the time (Virginia didn't start collecting birth records until 1857 long after Chester A. Arthur was born) they would certainly have asked for them. What did happen back then was a request for birth records that was ignored, lawsuits that were dismissed, while others did their own searches finding opposing "records" in both Canada and the US with arguments that the ones in the US were likely forged. Since his father was not a citizen until after his birth, citizenship would not be automatic for him, and his eligibility was questioned.
This is the exact same questions that are being faced by Obama (and with the same response). The likelihood of you just admitting the fact that you are flat wrong is about zero. But the likelihood of people reading the stuff I have posted and knowing you are absolutely wrong are very high.
Reality: Obama wasn't the only President who faced these questions.
Nigelity: None of the other 43 had to ever go through this.
Reality: Obama's opponent faced lawsuits about eligibility just like Obama.
Nigelity: Because it was a request for a subpoena for his BC, McCain never ever faced a ruling in court about his BC and it wasn't the BC that they wanted to see.
Reality: Nigel said, "the black guy" was the only one to face this. And the only purpose to mention the race was to attempt to get people to believe that anybody who questioned "the black guy" was a racist. That is race baiting.
Nigelity: Well, I didn't really race bait.
