Hutchinson, an aide to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, is now cooperating with a Justice Department investigation into the Jan. 6 attack, according to media reports.
A second GOP senator, who also requested anonymity, said the overwhelming majority of Republican senators don’t want Trump to be the party’s nominee for president again.
“I could count on one hand the number of Republican senators who want Donald Trump to be our nominee,” said the lawmaker, adding, “I could count it on one finger.”

I think he means if it came down to Trump or a Democrat, most Republicans would vote for the "R". Most Democrats are not different; regardless if it's Joe, Kamela or anyone else in November 2024, party members will vote their party.

The "Deciders" are the Independents who constitute about 40% of the voting public....which is why it's completely truthful to say "about 70% of voting Americans refuse to become Democrats". LOL

FWIW, I doubt many of the Independents will vote for Trump....which is why he won't run. Unless DeSantis implodes, I suspect he's most likely to win the Republican nomination.

What the Democrats do is up to them. My advice has always been for Joe to resign (medical reasons is a good excuse) after January 2023 and let Kamala run as an incumbent to give them an edge in 2024.
