Good times

China just announced their intentions for sanctions, and you're expecting NK to abide yesterday? Again, that's not how it works.

"Screaming like a baby"? Look, if you don't want to have a serious discussion, just say so.

Why hadn't the UN had an influence in eight years of The Obama?

You realize that NK's increased activity and the fact that they're getting more intercontinental capability has ratcheted this up for everyone, right?

I think it's absolutely hilarious that you think China heard Trump's empty threats and just decided to act on that. China thinks that Trump is a clown.

Tweeting has little to do with anything. The UN Speech was clarion, and backed up with sanctions that bite.
It has to play out. Notably various other countries don't seem to have a problem w/Trumps speech

I doubt there is a single country out there that enjoys watching these 2 infants recklessly one-up each other on the stupid rhetoric. It's hardly a surprise that few are willing to talk about it publicly - most likely want to just stay out of it.

I think we can judge what Trump is saying on its own merit. I don't think even his most ardent supporters would deny that it's a risky strategy, but is it a well-calculated risk? I think for it to be that, Trump would have to have a keen understanding of not only psychology in general, but of Kim's psychology...and I think that is very unlikely. I doubt Trump has even thought through the possible reactions he could get that much. It's almost like he's just playing to his base or something.

But, he's betting that Kim won't do something unpredictable & stupid. Would you bet on that?

what "strategy" are you talking about? Warning of retalliation by an attack?
Why would he not put lil Kim on notice?

The exaggerated, doomsday rhetoric. How much explanation to you need on this?
well you need to be clear..what rhetoric? The UN speech or the tweets?
as usual I find his tweeting obnoxious - but I thought the speech was measured and had the support of the international community

Nice try, but it's you being childish. Your side lost, so get over it and start acting like an adult.

That's a nothing burger of a response.

Bottom line: Trump's reckless words haven't affected China's actions at all. China - and the UN and the rest of the world - are just responding to the escalated threat from NK.

Talk about a nothing burger. That's your opinion, and it defies logic. The Obama appeases, China does nothing. Trump talks tough- China acts positively.

Guess you missed the part of my post where I said "just responding to the escalated threat from NK." But you think a country like China is changing it's behavior because Trump "talks tough."

Like I said: completely delusional. And that's an adult thing to say in light of your stubborn desire to give Trump's antics credit.

Please explain, in detail, how China's actions are a direct result of Trump using language like "fire & fury"/"rocket man," and not a result of NK's increased activity and the UN's escalation of sanctions.

I'm all ears.

You want me to prove to you that Trump has some kind of magic switch that makes China do his bidding? That's not how it works.

Well, since you did claim this was "another Trump victory", perhaps you can now explain what specifically he did/said to earn that victory.
