The politicians in DC are in the main low talent low work traitors of the Constitution as well as the people. The problem has gotten worse over decades.

It is an absolute fact that Joe Biden received a Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University in 1968, and passed the Delaware Bar in 1969.

Much like it is an absolute fact that trump lied about having an MBA, and that Santos lied about every degree and job he claimed to have had.
 
It's really quite entertaining watching all the Republican politicos bend and twist like a pretzel to try and explain George Santos and their support of him.

One theory is that we wanted to believe in him. As a buddy of mine observed, “A Republican pretending to be openly gay and Jewish is, in a weird way, a sign of progress.”

In all fairness, we don’t know if he pretended to be gay; we do know he was married to a woman until September 2019. Still, my friend has a point about the new trend of posing as a member of a marginalized or victimized group. In a world where progressives have adopted identities such as Native American or Black to advance professionally, a Republican politician posing as a gay Jewish Latino is simply a lagging indicator.

As usual, Donald Trump explains much of this. Santos’ victory represents a Republican Party that is simultaneously more diverse and welcoming (in terms of race and sexual identity) and less devoutly religious and moral—while also being more accepting of corruption and lying.

A pathological liar corruptly elected to the US House. Not a liar in the "broken promises" style of every politician, but a stone cold psychopath who doesn't know where he worked, doesn't know if he went to school, and doesn't know who he is. He went to the only place that would accept and embrace him: the Republican party.

And then a couple of weeks ago he told a group of veterans that as the VP he gave his uncle a Purple Heart he earned in the battle of the bulge. He uncle DIED 9 years before Biden became VP.
