Gender insanity synopsized in one Tweet

It was pretty funny to hear the mom tell the story. She said she wasn't trying to be offensive. The whole pronoun thing is new to her like it is to many of us. When you've gone your whole like referring to people as he or she it's not instinctual to refer to someone as they.

The other interesting thing she said is both her daughters refer to themselves as bi-sexual. She said neither date girls or hook up with them but it's about showing solidarity or something along those lines with those who are.

My daughter is not yet three so I haven't had to deal with this yet. In due time I'm sure I will.

It’s easy to joke about this stuff but many kids are going to grow up to be very confused and unhappy people on account of it.

They aren’t confused the more people are open to accepting them. It’s intolerant oafs like yourself that cause them pain and confusion.

On the topic of gender here’s an interesting one from last night. I was watching the ‘SC game at a friend’s house with a group of people. One lady has a daughter in sixth grade in an elite ($45K+/yr) all girls private school up the street from me.

There’s a girl in her daughters class who now identifies as a boy. Her mom sent out an email to all the parents of kids in the class describing what was happening with her daughter and how she wants to be called Mark instead of Mary.

If you’re at a co-ed school it’s not an issue. But when you’re at a single sex school...

“Mark” still has all her female parts so biologically is still a girl. This school is a hell of a school. I’d love to send my daughter there. The question obviously is when your school is for girls only and your motto is we create leaders of women will they accept girls who identify as boys. (I guess this just happened in the last day or two)

I submit that ‘Mark’ is still a girl regardless of what she thinks lol.

Personally, I wouldn’t want my kids exposed to that; and if I had any, I would try and get them into a non-secular private school.

What the frick are her parents going to say when SHE starts having periods? ‘Oh honey, other boys have periods too’.

Well, you can do that actually lol.

You can say ‘they stole my car’ even if you know the individual was a male. Maybe not 100% proper grammar but it’s commonly used in every day speech. I agree that it’s a kind of insanity to insist people use ‘they’ to keep from specifying a gender.

What’s intriguing to me is how will these same sex schools deal with it. They are already making a choice to exclude one sex . Will they accept (in this case) women if they think they are men even though they won’t accept men.
