Gay pride parade in houston 2004 draws 200,000

No you are confusing it with abolishing the government who made it legal or not.

The ones who left the Union were the ones who used illegal means to get what they wanted.

The Union stayed to change the laws and the cowards left the union (confeds) took up arms and killed their fellow Americans.

They acted illegally and history will always tell that tale correctly.

You are missing the obvious lesson BAC.... comparing the 'passion' for a 'movement' that has been ongoing for over FOUR DECADES to something that just began is moronic.

Oh really?

How about this one? .. first time ever done.

That's just the men.

Don't get it twisted brother, I'm just having fun with as I am with this issue which is nothing short of pure comedy.

"Tea parties" :)

Where's the adults?

Not saying that it cannot be done brother, just that is moronic to pretend that it WILL be done.

Compare the tea party thing to the first gay pride parades and then get back to me.

As for the 100000 man march... keep in mind... that was pretty much on par with the tea parties.... the only difference is they were all in one location rather than spread out throughout the country.

The adults?

At a guess i'd say they've become sidetracked by that old - "should the milk go in the cup before the tea is poured or after" - argument.

I predict a schism of almighty proportions, and not a little bloodshed, as they get to grips with this most serious issue facing contemporary American society.

Hey check this out. It's a true story. My brother in law is a good guy and a smart guy but he puts the "Red" in redneck. He came up with this idea he designed on his CAD system (He's an independent machinist by trade) for creating reflectors in the shape of several major universities loggos (Ohio State, Michigan and UWV are the three he's copyrighted and licensed). To make the molds for these reflectors cost a pretty penny so he's invested a lot in this. Well at Christmas last year when he was first getting started I suggested he design a gay pride rainbow reflector and told him to call my gay brother in Florida to see if he'd be interested in financing the licensing and creation of the first mold. Long story short is they did the deal and this item has been selling better then the University Logos. So now my super redneck beer drinking, Rush Limbaugh loving, pro-Iraq Republican brother in law is now traveling across the country to the various metro gay pride celebrations, parades, etc, selling these gay pride flag reflector logos to gay merchants and doing a pretty good business.

The irony here is so rich.

I love this story! It is amazing when the "rednecks" find out how much money the gays' have to spend!!!! They end up loving them for their money.

Does he enjoy it? Does he like them as people?

This is awesome.

Does your bro-in-law dislike or hate gays or something? To me the beauty of capitalism and free markets etc. (very simplistically) is its about making money not about discriminating. If I want to make money I'm going to do business with everyone; white, black, yellow, brown, purple, blue, gay, straight, bi etc. One who limits themselves on the basis of their own discrimination is only hurting themselves.

But fair, far outweighs free!

This.

And it really is capitalism that helps open the lines of communication between people that at one point saw themselves as adversaries. When you start doing a civil business with people you held as wrong, beneath you, less than you, bad, you see that most of your biases were wrong.

Isn't that the truth!

I'd be pissed if someone put a fag flag on my car (for full disclosure I'd be pissed if someone put anything on my car). Though in the great spirit of not being able to accept ourselves what we do to others I would have no problem putting one of those flags on a friends car to f*ck with them.

A "fag" flag, cawacko! You get a snicky.
