And yeah, the "jobs" thing was part of the mantra. We'd hear that "real unemployment" is "always higher" than the reported unemployment. Now, those same people ignore the "real unemployment" and only cite the reported number while the other side suddenly understands that real unemployment can be very much higher than reported numbers.

I've lost count of how many times I have heard on here or nationally that "Obama should have put tax cuts into the stimulus."

I have even been ridiculed a few times for suggesting he did. Some of the biggest critics of the stimulus have no idea at all what was actually in it.

We needed 1.2 trillion of stimulus. We got 350 billion in stimulus and 350 billion in tax cuts.

Then, you saw the later post by Nigel, clearly stating that Kerry restricted his comparison to the Great Depression to jobs. You tried to find a quote from Kerry where he made a more general comparison of the economies, but you couldn't. It's embarassing you even posted those later quotes; why in the world would anyone deny he was saying the economy was bad if he was comparing the jobs situation to the Great Depression?

Read back through the thread. He was saying that Kerry restricted his comparisons to the Great Depression to JOBS. He never tried to say that Kerry wasn't saying the economy was bad (just that he wasn't comparing the overall economy to the Depression).
