And yeah, the "jobs" thing was part of the mantra. We'd hear that "real unemployment" is "always higher" than the reported unemployment. Now, those same people ignore the "real unemployment" and only cite the reported number while the other side suddenly understands that real unemployment can be very much higher than reported numbers.
