Futuristic Dollar, I'd give it 40 years....

So, what I seem to be getting from this thread is the following vibe:

If Barack Obama turns out to be a white actor, then it means his legacy is completely ruined?

Scratch that. This is better:

Funny stuff. the only problem with this bill is it's only worth 32 cents! LOL

I never said that Obama should be put on the $20, you liar.

Your original post stated that you would give it 40 years until it happened. You then jizzed (to borrow an Asshat expression) all over the board about how Obama was one of the 'Greats' and that he should be on Rushmore etc....

Forgive me for thinking all that meant you thought he should be on the $20.

And I did not say Obama would be honored for what he has done in office, that was my point. Kennedy is not honored for what he did in office, other than die... And Obama will be honored regardless of what he does in office not for things he does in office...

So you think the nation is going to be that focused on his skin pigmentation that they will 'honor' him simply for being Black and getting elected President?

That is fucking absurd.

Also... Kennedy IS honored for what he accomplished as a President you dolt. Granted, nostalgia plays a role due to the assassination, but Kennedy vastly improved the space program which led to countless technological innovations and sparked the imagination of this country. Like Reagan, people loved him because he INSPIRED them to be better. Add in the fact that Kennedy also created the Peace Corp.... and I think there is enough reason to justify his placement on the half dollar.... and certainly enough to state that he is more deserving of being on the $20 than Obama.

Look at J.C.'s numbers, he is pretty popular....

Anyway, my point is that it could turn out that Obama is an awfull president, it will not stop the flood that will result in him being honored big time!
He ain't nowhere near being pictured on a bill, nor will Obama. I figure he'll get a coin for the historic moment of being the first black man elected, but bills are for larger achievements than pigmentation happenstance.

You may be right, and bills take longer, but it certantly could happen.
