Fucking Pig Feds, This story has me absolutely disgusted.

The government can be restricted and still be able to help the people. If that wasn't the intent why the Preamble? Are you saying the Founding Fathers perpetrated a scam on the people?

Is the US Constitution a document of human rights given by govt or a document that limits the rights of govt.

OK, so tell me, what do you think "promote the general welfare" means?

I agree with James Madison....“If Congress can do whatever in their discretion can be done by money, and its (sic) will promote the General Welfare, the Government is no longer a limited one, possessing enumerated powers, but an indefinite one, subject to particular exceptions." James Madison, Letter to Edmund Pendleton, January 21, 1792

Now you tell us what it means to you.

Why should I contribute more simply because I have more when you didn't work as hard as I did?

Ahhh, the old "I worked harder". Do you ever wonder how many people were working in their basement or garage at the same time Bill Gates was working in his garage? Some of those people, probably over 90% of them, never made a penny off computers. Did Bill Gates work a billion times harder than everyone else? How many hours are in a Gates' day?

So Bill Gates didn't earn his money. Correct?

how do you propose to do that when it's the government that does the prosecuting?

How do you contest the government if it steals your house? You keep implying there are people who are considering taking on the government. Why don't they take on the government regarding prosecution? In other words are you against government corruption regarding the money it has to help others or are you against the idea of government helping others regardless of whether the government is corrupt?

I worked for my money. You don't have the moral authority to take my earnings.

I didn't work for mine. Well, not what I consider work. I purchased two buildings on the poor side of town and within 5 years developers moved in and the values soared. They were rental properties so all I had invested was the down payment for each building and the tenants paid the mortgae and maintenance for 5 years. Over that time the value increased 300%. Then, of course, I sold. Do you consider I worked for my money?

and how is it 'fair share' when you want to tax someone more than me simply based on their net worth?

Picture you having a business and two people work in the office. One is a woman, 5'4", 120 pounds. The other office worker is a guy, 6', 200 pounds. You want to rearrange the office, switch the desks around. Who would you ask to help you move the desks?

You earned your money legally and that's the bottom line. It's morally yours. Do you agree?

It means exactly what it says. Promote the general welfare and the unnecessary death of citizens does not promote the welfare of the country nor, obviously, the welfare of those who die whereas preventing those deaths does enhance the welfare of the country and, of course, the individuals.

Explain to us what "unnecessary death of citizens" means.

Legally isn't the bottom line just like the bankers legally packaged garbage and almost collapsed the economy.

A friend of mine commented I must be irritated by having to pay capital gains tax. I asked why I sohuld be irritated when I never even worked for the money. I was thankful I made what I did after taxes. The reality is I did absolutely nothing to contribute to the size of increase in value.
