As we appease the Muslims

Palm Beach County Public Affairs staffer John Jamason is being investigated for a Facebook post about Islam. There is every chance that he could be disciplined for making a "critical" statement about Islam on 9/11. Since when is it a crime to post a statement like this on one's personal Facebook page? Where is the man's right to free speech? Apparently free speech is a secondary issue when one of Florida's leading Muslim groups is offended. Maybe he should work in another field besides PUBLIC AFFAIRS.

I generally wonder where Freedom of Speech runs into Disturbing the Peace. Such as Westboro.

"Using offensive words in a public place likely to incite violence- Shouting in a public place intending to incite violence or unlawful activity"~ Disturbing the peace

He is allowed free speech, there are just consequences for the things you say.

So you think there should be laws that prevent businesses from deciding which employees they want?

Free speech is constantly under attack in the U.S. It has nothing to do with Islam. The only way we loose our freedom of speech is by not speaking up when we should.

Then you don't have free speech do you....?....if free speech means you get investigated, reprimanded, fined, or in any other way pay a 'negative price' that others don't
its not free speech.

On second thought, forget the whole thing...you're to stupid to waste time on....so again, you're dismissed.

Lol, no it looks like you gave up and are delusional, once again.

If he is a government official, he doesn't have freedom to talk about certain things. If you are too retarded to understand this It is not surprising.

That's it...take your ball and go home.

Of course you're right.....but in THIS CASE, it has to do with Islam...particularly....
and the repercussions from the of the Council on American Islamic Relations and their DEMAND to see all the man communcations
for the last 30 days from any county computer including social media.....

a little more to it than you imply.

that same logic was used during the inquisition.

There was no freedom of speech then, at least not to criticize religion or government.

It is why freedom to criticize the government was incorporated into our Constitution. I do not believe it means all forms of speech, otherwise, there would be no laws controlling pornography, slander or libel.

Isn't it ironic, you advocating unlimited free speech, yet dismissing me.

Me ?...advocating unlimited free speech ?....damn...now where did I say that....? Or are you talking about Harry Truman or George Orwell ?

Never mind... just rhetorical questions....I don't care what your opinion is.

Okay, if you aren't advocating unlimited free speech, what is the point of your posts?
