Free college!

Sure they do. Define educated? If you consider anyone with a high school education "uneducated" you're a snob. It's also a Democrat problem if they only want college educated supporters cause more than half the country isn't college educated. That's not exactly how you win democratic elections...having a majority can be helpful. :)

Dems could of easily won in 2016 but the party hierarchy gave us Hillary and that was a choose your poison "Hobson's" choice. Trump or Hillary? Lots of smart, educated people voted for Trump cause Hillary sucked. So don't tell me only uneducated people supported Trump cause Hillary sucked too.

I'm not giving Dems a pass on just one bad candidate. The second choice was Bernie who is almost as bad as Trump. I still think John Kasich would have stomped Hillary by a landslide in a national election. At least the GOP had an honest process to win the nomination and Trump used it to his fullest advantage. With the Democrats it was essentially decided by the party brass that Hillary would be the Democratic nominee. The irony of this is that it's been Republicans who have had a history of snatching defeat from victory by the party brass deciding a candidate. The last time the Democrats tried that stunt was in 1968 and anyone older than 55 knows what a debacle that was.

when trump went birther he understood completely how many uneducated were out there. a person has to be uneducated to think coal will make a comeback. A person has to be uneducated to think that jobs being off shored are a problem and not know that automation has been the real reason for mfg job loss. Yeah trump pandered to the ignorant and it worked.

Clinton was indeed awful but a factor was the Bernie folks staying home. There were a number of factors in the election but I blame Bernie folks staying home as the largest. I think the recent elections bear me out. When civil people go to the polls people like trump dont stand a chance.

because god knows we need more millennials with a BA in business administration mowing lawns......
Who says the money is being invested in a four year liberal arts degree? At community college you have opportunities for training in trades, technical careers, vo-ag. Every town of about 10,000 should have a community college that would be the hub for skills and job training. It’s what we need to do to stay competitive with other nations who are already doing this.

disagree slightly. most of tech does not require a 4 year degree. adding 2 tech training years to high school would do the trick. most of an AA can be done online. time to keep up with the times. I agree there is a need for hands on in everything from medicine to HVAC repair.

I can’t disagree with that. I’ve heard about track programs at the high school level that can prepare kids to start in technical and trade careers.

IBM is currently supporting 100 high school 14 year programs. Louisiana is teaching coding in all schools...even NOLA.

if you had read my previous posts before dogging me,
you would have seen "my issue" is that colleges are floating in endowment money, yet keep raising tuition.

That'a what needs to be solved, not free stuff unless a state wants to spend yet more money on education

Who told you endowments are to be used to subsidize tuition?
You act like it is a given.
It isn't. Endowments are to be used for whatever the donor specifies.

Tuition costs rising faster than inflation is the real issue.

your issues are getting old
My issues? It seems nobody knows who the hell you're responding to because you 'don't have' a quote button.
You thought you quoted someone 14 posts earlier, when in actuality, you didn't.

Personally, I don't care what/how you post here.

More so for housing and meals.
