Fox Says No To Obama

Have a margarita and enjoy the show. Your contributions aren't useful.

Seriously. I know you well enough to know you don't need me to explain why a network is capable of demonstrating bias without being forced to do something.

Alright. I admit I'm trolling. But I must observe that as of late, you seem like you've been living on a cloud. With the pirate thing, and then the grind thing....
So anyhow, how's the boyfriend and the miata?

Okay, either way, the fact that fox tv is not airing this is really not that amazing to me. Is it really amazing to you? Really?

Only if you consider the Fox network something other than the entertainment wing of the Fox family of networks. I personally do not, and never have. The fact that the choose not to air the presser is inconsequential. Especially when you comsider the number of stations that will air it, ABC, CBS, NBC, FNC, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, HNN, PBS, and probably C-Span to boot.

Really?

Networks won't air Bush's primetime speech
Address on future of Iraq will be aired on MSNBC-TV

LOS ANGELES - The broadcast networks are not expected to carry President Bush’s primetime speech Monday night, in which he will lay out a “clear strategy” for the future of Iraq.

The Bush administration has not requested the Big Four to air live the president’s address to an audience at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Penn., scheduled for 8 p.m. EDT on the last Monday of the May sweep, a crucial period when networks chase high ratings in order to set ad rates.

NBC, Fox and ABC will proceed with their scheduled programming for the 8-9 p.m. hour -- an episode of “Fear Factor,” the finale of “The Swan” and the broadcast premiere of Oscar-winning “A Beautiful Mind,” respectively.

NBC and Fox’s sibling cable channels, MSNBC and Fox News, will carry the speech.

CBS is not expected to make a final decision on whether to preempt its Monday 8-9 p.m. comedy block -- season finales of “Yes, Dear” and “Still Standing” -- until Monday but sources indicated the network was leaning toward sticking with its regular programming.

At least one network, Fox, has offered the speech to any of its affiliates that wish to carry it.

I said very specifically that they aired his speeches as often as Fox did. If you read your article, it said even Fox didn't air that broadcast.

What pirate thing? Grind thing? What?

No, it's not amazing to me.

No, it's not amazing to me.

Remember when you were running around saying that the Pirates never took a hostage, and then you were running around telling Grind to start a page that you already joined, and then the whole hugh haulg thing?

So if its not amazing to you, then why are you running around, pretending to care?

I don't know what you're talking about with Grind, and I never said the pirates didn't take a hostage. I said something about the story which was about two days out of date (something about what may have happened to the hostage). Then you called me on it like I had shot Kennedy.

It must be tiring work making mountains out of molehills all day.

Clearly I misread the initial post. The fact remains that Fox News is owned by the same guy as Fox networks, and political influence comes from the top in a corporation. It would not surprise me at all to learn this decision was purely political, and considering that all the other networks are airing the conference evidence points that direction.
Fox TV is an entertainment channel. Is BET showing the Obama press conference?

Did you find someone who said they were forced to air it?

Are you capable of saying anything without lying, using a logical fallacy, or otherwise being intellectually dishonest?

The issue is Fox purports to be and has convinced some idiots that they are fair and balanced. This is clear evidence they are not. Fox networks are owned by the same guy that owns Fox News, are they not?
Please pay attention this time.

Fox News Channel will be covering it, it is solely the Network (you know entertainment TV) that is choosing to air something else.

Saying "Fair and Balanced" every time you see Fox is a habit, but it really is only used for the Channel that happens to actually be airing it. The one that dedicates its time to news.

honestly beefy has to be high as shit in this thread. I know what he's referring to but it wasn't a "thing" it was a random message I posted on a social group about 2 months ago.

Nobody on here is even mentioning your argument. Your argument is absolutely stupid as shit and requires no effort by me.

thats the funniest thing i have ever heard....nobody else is mentioning your argument, so it must suck and is stupid....

lol, you spent how much time telling me how stupid and retarded is, all you had to do was spend a little less time and actually debate the point instead of wussing out.

too funny

Because if they debate their points they lose?

LOL

Fox decides not to join in the circle jerk with the rest of the networks to praise Obama. I love it.

Fox sticking with schedule instead of Obama

NEW YORK – The Fox network is sticking with its regular schedule over President Barack Obama this week.

The network is turning down the president's request to show his prime-time news conference on Wednesday. The news conference marks Obama's 100th day in office. Instead of the president, Fox viewers will see an episode of the Tim Roth drama "Lie to Me." :cof1:

It's the first time a broadcast network has refused Obama's request. This will be the third prime-time news conference in Obama's presidency. ABC, CBS and NBC are airing it.

Imagine the uproar if MSNBC had done this to Bush...!

Although they may have been doing Bush a favor.

Typical idiot response, accuse everyone of listening, reading Rush Limbaugh and call them white trash. And I thought the term you people used was white niggers. I see white niggers everywhere.

If it was Fox News that wasn't airing it you might have a point, but in reality you missed again with a poor analogy.

*sigh* What is wrong with people lately? What's with this word. It shouldn't become a habit around here to start spouting off with this.

You will quickly find your board has developed something of a reputation for this regrettable fact.
