Fox Says No To Obama

LOL

Fox decides not to join in the circle jerk with the rest of the networks to praise Obama. I love it.

Fox sticking with schedule instead of Obama

NEW YORK – The Fox network is sticking with its regular schedule over President Barack Obama this week.

The network is turning down the president's request to show his prime-time news conference on Wednesday. The news conference marks Obama's 100th day in office. Instead of the president, Fox viewers will see an episode of the Tim Roth drama "Lie to Me." :cof1:

It's the first time a broadcast network has refused Obama's request. This will be the third prime-time news conference in Obama's presidency. ABC, CBS and NBC are airing it.

Fair and balanced - refusing to air a presidential press conference.

I know your head cannot comprehend this, but they gave a clue in the article, they were talking about the Fox TV channel, not Fox News channel which is a separate channel all together.

But don't worry, you can still join in the circle jerk on Wednesday, get your box of Kleenex, a jar of Vaseline, and turn on the TV to Fox News and wait for the one to appear. :D

Just for the sake of clarification, this is not Fox News Channel we're talking about here, but your local Fox Network affiliate. I'm sure FNC will air the presser. Of course on the west coast, none of this matters. Unless they hold the pep rally at 11:00pm in the east.

Fox News Channel will be airing the interview. Dunces. Fox network is airing a game show or whatever "Lie to Me" is...

As I recall several of the Liberal news networks refused to air some of George W. Bush's press conferences.

All six of Bush's press conferences?

What is the count anyway for President Bush on press conferences. I know it was VERY low for his first term.
And he had his gay pimp fake press guy (Gannon?) asking softball questions too.

That's fucking hilarious. Did you bother to click through on the links they provided?

The first:

LOS ANGELES - The broadcast networks are not expected to carry President Bush’s primetime speech Monday night, in which he will lay out a “clear strategy” for the future of Iraq.

The Bush administration has not requested the Big Four to air live the president’s address to an audience at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Penn., scheduled for 8 p.m. EDT on the last Monday of the May sweep, a crucial period when networks chase high ratings in order to set ad rates.

[snip]

Last May, the Big Four had to reshuffle their Thursday lineups the second week of the sweep to carry Bush’s address announcing the end of major combat in Iraq.

For the second the President was cut off after the White House pushed back the start time of the press conference by half and hour.

And on the third there is no indication that any network did not end up airing the president's press conference. All it states is that two were definitely planning to air it whereas the the other two were undecided at the time the piece was written.

And that's the sum total of Bush not getting the same treatment as Obama during his 8 years in office.

i didn't realize we live in a country where one is forced to air a presidential news conference....:pke:

Did you find someone who said they were forced to air it?

Are you capable of saying anything without lying, using a logical fallacy, or otherwise being intellectually dishonest?

The issue is Fox purports to be and has convinced some idiots that they are fair and balanced. This is clear evidence they are not. Fox networks are owned by the same guy that owns Fox News, are they not?

I'll be watching Obama on Fox News, cable, which is rated number 1. Funny, how these lying rumors get around, isn't it?
