I was discussing Fox when I was back east viisiting my family, and which my parents watch a ton, and I stated it was nothing but a propaganda arm of the GOP. To which my mother responded,
maybe, but it is all we have. The telling word there is "we." I rested my case and didn't bring it up again.

Very telling indeed.
Apparently, this is just where we are as a society nowadays. Everyone feels they are entitled to something. The right is always harping on and on about how we on the left feel we are entitled to this and that, all the while, they feel like they are entitled to things like their own news to give them their own version of the truth, and even their own "morality", which I put in quotation marks because it really is nothing more than a twisted, self interest-driven version of morality.
In my opinion, normal people ultimately feel like their soul is being poisoned by being around constant lying, dishonesty, and deception.
I would want out of Fox News myself, if I were immersed 9 hours a day in that culture of deception, distortion, and utter disregard for the truth.
The weird thing is that most rightwingers I have had the displeasure of crossing on the interwebs do not seem to be bothered in the least by deception and dishonesty. They actually seem to hold dishonesty and ignorance in the highest esteem. Evidence? They worship and admire Donald J. Trump.

I have said this before, but I think the reason for that, is that conservatism and it's basic tenets, goals and beliefs (every man for himself, get as much as you can even if it's at the expense of others, I got mine so screw you, go out and get yours, the end justifies the means, etc, etc) naturally attract a certain kind of person. That kind of person being the kind who just have no problem with lies, distortions of fact and bending of the rules to push their self-serving agenda.
Perfectly logical and not mysterious at all.
