~ “I’m watching now and screaming,” a Fox News personality says
Fox News came in for some more bed press Tuesday with the publication of a blistering new CNN report detailing internal discontent over the network’s coverage of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
CNN reporter Oliver Darcy wrote that his network received a text message from a “Fox News personality” who wanted to jump ship over the network’s handling of the news.
“I’m watching now and screaming … I want to quit,” the unnamed individual told CNN. Another “senior Fox News employee” told CNN that they felt the network was becoming too beholden to President Donald Trump.
“It is another blow to journalists at Fox who come in every day wanting to cover the news in a fair and objective way,” said the employee. “Fox feels like an extension of the Trump White House.”
A Fox News spokeswoman told TheWrap in response to the report: “The network covered the breaking news accurately and fairly across both news and opinion programming.”
