Fort Hood: 12 Dead 31 Injured

Read what I said and not what you want me to say. Don't put words in my mouth or attribute your above "must blame obama" quote to me. What I am saying is the liberals need to toughen the hell up and if they can't stand a little finger pointing and unjustified blame then stop participating in discussions, debates, etc because you're not tough enough.

If we spewed half the crap that was spewed our direction the libs would have a catatonic fit and drop to the floor in convulsions.

I have zero tolerance for any whining at all from the libs after 8 years of stinking sheep $hit flung by every liberal news agency, movie star, senator, ex-president, and congressperson who felt they had a right malign our president when we had men and women fighting a war and endangering their lives so they could open their lying traps.

Sheath your sword meant your spoiling for a fight with me, or in the very least to win a point.

Your point is yours and mine is mine. I can live with it.

so me debating you on a point is unleashing my sword?

amazing. i can't even have discussions or debates without some people thinking i'm a liberal or unleashing some sword.....

so, the constitution is a living document? should the constitution anticipate everthing?

i don't understand this sentence:

you raise the question about suspending the constitution, yet say that is the best defense.....

Like I said, you seem to have misunderstood (partially through a vague writing on my part) my original point.

I raise the question because in part the Constitution has been suspended. So, now seeing the complexity of the issue of terrorism, maybe we ascertain enlightenment that going outside the Constitution cannot and will not make us safer from uncertainty. This is not a discussion exclusive to life and national security either, but can move into economic and social matters as well.

The only thing going outside the Constitution will make certain is that government will be more powerful and we will be less free.

The Constitution does not have to be explicit about modern affairs, or be written in the same area to be able to anticipate these modern threats in a way. It doesn't need to anticipate "everything" in order to anticipate the important things related to its use. The short-sighted view after 9/11 was that "9/11 changed everything." and that a new belief about security and liberty would have to come about.

The Constitution is not a living document in my view, though we are a living society that encounters new challenges. Even with new problems, however, the basic principles governing power and control over people don't change, and the Constitution has most of our concerns with state power covered. Where that isn't the case, we have the power to amend it.

It's a common criticism, often of the left but in the case of national security some on the right, that the Constitution is outdated because it was drafted in a very different era technologically. In terms of government and liberty, though very little has changed at all. Over time, we've seen again and again that the principles behind the Declaration, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are wise limitations of government power.

So, I'm afraid if you've interpreted anything I've written as defending some kind of infringement on the Constitution, it was a mistake in my initial use of language.

Yes, because we all have to be sensitive to Muslims, they are so picked on these days and singled out for absolutely no reason at all. Not all Muslims believe in the teachings of Muhammad and believe they are destined to rule half the world, some of them are peace loving people, like that Ghandi dude!

You people are the most vapid bird-brained idiots in the whole fucking world! I am not sure how WE wound up with you, but I suspect it has a lot to do with your pansy-ass liberal European genes. You pinheads are probably all part French!

Yes, let's not let this turn into an "Ugly Muslim" thing, just because one of them murdered a dozen Americans while praising Allah, doesn't mean he was a terrorist!

Gandhi was a Muslim?? That will have to be added to the gallery of Dixieisms.

There are only two kinds of people in Dixieland. People like him and muslim terrorists. Even those who profess not to be muslims really are. Its a conspiracy. The world (muslim) against Dixie (nice person).

HaHa! This was awesome!. This thread was more fun than a jumpsuit full of weasels.

For real, somebody needs to compile a thread of Dixie-spin-isms. Somebody could do a psychology PhD dissertation on this dude:

DIXIE:

Blood on Obama's hands, if you ask me. Because this idiot can't make a decision regarding the war policy, and allows the situation to fester for weeks on end, while he parades his happy ass around campaigning for his loser cronies and entertaining his wife in high style.

Ft. Hood is what happens when you are indecisive as a leader.

DIXE:

I didn't say Obama was to blame for this! The ONLY one to blame is the guy who was pulling the trigger!

DIXIE:

I did NOT blame Obama! Pay attention.... There is a major distinct difference between "BLAMING" someone,

and saying that someone bears some responsibility for failing to lead!

DIXIE:

Technically speaking, I am an Atheist. I do not subscribe or believe in any specific theocracy, which by definition, is an Atheist.

DIXIE:

As a Christian, I am willing to let them rectify this with God, it's not my place to do that. ….. When it comes to abortion-on-demand, as a form of birth control, it then becomes an issue which involves my responsibility as a Christian, to speak out against and condemn, and I do.

DIXIE:

I am socially conservative, but non-religious.....

DIXIE:

"typical of your type of Christian who don't feel the need to DO anything..."

This statement is not a scoff, it is a direct judgement of my Christian faith.

No, Gandhi was Hindu, and that line was me sarcastically portraying a pinhead. It's about the competence level of the average liberal mush-brain to think Ghandi was a peace-loving Muslim!

What did you base this on, the color of the turd you fished out of the toilet to play with? This nut at Ft. Hood was a devout Muslim! He routinely posted on message boards and blogs about how he supported jihad. When he was murdering our soldiers, he was screaming "Allah Akbar!" (God is Great!) I don't know what planet you live on, to think it is overreacting for me to call this guy a Muslim terrorist.

Of course, instead of fighting terrorists, we all know liberals would like to make them victims, sign them up for gub'mnt benefits, and get them a democrat voters card! Hell, if they coulda got him, Osama would have been sitting with Carter and Micheal Moore at the convention!

I can't believe this... authorities have now said this "was not an act of terrorism."

12 people are dead, 31 injured, by a converted Muslim on a military base.... what the fuck is it, if not terrorism?

Is Jason Rodriguez shooting up an office in Florida also terrorism?

I know saying, and I'm not discounting that this COULD be an act of terrorism, but the mere fact that the suspect has a Muslim affiliation is NOT a basis for that conclusion, as Dixie insinuated.

Sorry if my tone was snippy; this thread is over the line for me....

Me, too. All reports I've read use the term "allegedly" re: his shouting "Allahu Akbar". It makes me wonder if that was inserted as another back-door slam at Muslims and an attempt to connect this sick man's actions to jihad. The more that's learned about Hasan, the more it seems like he's had long-standing psychological problems and the religious element is just a by-product of them. A number of religious nuts have slain or caused the deaths of others, Jim Jones for one, but it's only Muslims who get the "terrorist" label attached to their acts.

Ghandi a MUSLIM?

everything i've read said he was going to afghanistan.....do you have link or something, because i wouldn't want you to be pathetic

I guess we don't know for sure.

"The relative added that he was making a six-figure income but was unhappy with his job and unhappy with his pending deployment to Iraq. The Army says he was officially listed as having no religious preference. The relative added that Hasan is a "good American."

"Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan allegedly opened fire on soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas, on Thursday, killing 13 and injuring several others. He was in a coma in a Texas hospital after being shot by police. According to some reports, he had been harassed for being Muslim, and objected to being deployed to Iraq where he would have to fight other Muslims."

Well, now what is wrong with that! He probably likes those rare cleavage shots that I give 'em.
He likes the fact that I can wrestle a polar bear and make chili out of it all in one afternoon.
I not a sissy boy like that Glen Beck who cries all the time. Hell, in Alaska, if he would do that his eyes would freeze shut, then he would stumble around in the blizzard conditions and get lost. He might even wonder over to Russia and that would be bad, it would be a french fry and not a pizza.

His cousin said he has been a Muslim all his life.
