Former Campaign Manager Testifies Clinton Personally Approved Spreading Trump-Russia Lie



The corrupt Clinton campaign is accused of paying operatives to dig up false information, which was then provided to the FBI in a false police report, that ultimately led to a warrant so the FBI could spy on the Trump campaign.

Former Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook testified that Hillary Clinton personally approved the dissemination of materials alleging a covert communications channel between the Trump Organization and Russia’s Alfa Bank to the media.

Clinton spread this lie despite campaign officials not being “totally confident” in whether the data was authentic.


Former FBI General Counsel James Baker also testified that the FBI investigated the data and found that “there was nothing there.” Clinton falsely alleged that Trump was connected to the Kremlin-linked bank.

Government prosecutor Andrew DeFillippis asked Mook about the campaign’s understanding of the Alfa Bank allegations against Trump.


“I don’t remember the substance of the conversation, but notionally, the discussion was, hey, we have this and we want to share it with a reporter,” Mook added.

When asked if Clinton approved “the dissemination” of the data to the media, Mook testified, “She agreed.”

It's been fascinating to watch the undereducated right-wingers try to turn this into a scandal. The story is simply that a consulting outfit did some opposition research, trying to dig up dirt on Trump, working first for rival Republican interests and then for the Clinton campaign. They put together a collection of evidence and rumors for further research, some true and some not yet substantiated. That then got leaked to the media. It's a big "so what" for most of us, but for those deep within the Trump Cult, it's a scandal to end all scandals.

Yeah, who would consider paying a foreign agent to makeup complete lies about one's political opponent with his Kremlin-linked buiddies, then lying to the FISA court about the paid for lies, to illegally spy upon said opponent, continuing INTO HIS PRESIDENCY, in an attempt to UNDO HIS ELECTION, a "scandal"?

Go ahead----produce one actual example of Hillary saying anything about trump that not only wasn't true, but was known by half the country. First, it's not a foreign agent. That would mean someone actively working for a foreign power, which was not the case here. Second, there's never been any evidence anyone paid this researcher to make up anything.... he was paid to try to see what evidence and rumors might be out there, as guidance for possible vulnerabilities the candidate might have. Now, if someone lied to the FISA court, that should of course be punished, but it's not clear that happened. The complaint is that the person didn't call more attention to potential problems with the information. And we're not aware of any illegal spying on anyone, whether before or after his presidency, nor any attempt to undo his election. So, yes, there's no scandal here, much less "treason." It's just run-of-the-mill opposition research, only in this case directed against such delicate snowflakes that they're still melting down over it years and years later.

No, not at all, to begin with "copy and paste's" source is bullshit, probably another Murdoch subsidiary, and if you actually followed what is going on in the Durham trial you'd see that it is all innuendo, which was the reason for Durham from the jump, to put out there enough muddle information for the right wing media to initiate innuendo. And the proof is that Durham isn't even going to get a guiltily verdict on supposedly lying to the FBI, a procedural crime

While this isn't "treason," if true the Hildabeast violated a whole raft of federal laws:

18 U.S. Code § 595 - Interference by administrative employees of Federal, State, or Territorial Governments (she was secretary of state)
18 U.S. Code § 597 - Expenditures to influence voting (she paid for the dossier to smear her opponent)
Slander and libel of a public figure.

That's just for starters.
