How could the governor of one of our largest states *not know* that infected nursing home residents shouldn’t be sent back to nursing homes?

The *very first* COVID outbreak was in a Washington state nursing home way back in February. There’s simply no excuse for it. I don’t care if Cuomo claims something about federal guidelines—over rule the damn things. He would have, rightly, been lauded for it had he done that.

What percentage of NY’s total COVID death count came from nursing homes? Take a stab at it.

During the visit, Vice President Pence and Governor Ron DeSantis answered questions from reporters about the reopening of the state.

Governor DeSantis didn’t hold back, blasting them for their fearmongering reporting and overall criticism of his state. DeSantis pointed out that Florida has the lowest death rate in the region, and generally lower than anywhere else.

The governor of FL has at no time ever told the truth about the number of cases and the number of deaths. He had hidden the details all along.

Well, shouldn’t DeSantis’ performance be graded against his peers lol?

So FL has spiked some case numbers. Do you know the average age of positive COVID tests in FL?

Or will I have to a answer that one too?

No. His performance should be rated against what he SHOULD have done. Or should be doing. Not what he thought he should do to kiss Trumps ass.

The new positives are from younger people. Do you have a point? You would seem at least modestly intelligent if you ever made one. But I won't hold my breath.
 
Listened to the FL panel of physicians a few minutes ago at a round table.
Summing it up?
Double the testing in the last 3 weeks = double the results.
Mostly 18-30 yr olds with the usual mild symptoms and are sent home and treat it like the common cold.
All persons going into hospitals for a wide range of other ailments and/or other elective procedures are tested; if positive are sent home till they recover.
And, always the same question though.....are the positively tested sick and/or dying WITH Covid or FROM it.

ALL persons who get seriously ill and/or die with or from Covid have the same underlying problem...a weak immune system.
Seems lots of people finally caught on to the advice to take their daily D3 supplement. The shelves have been bare on that one
now more than the run on toilet paper.

Bingo!

Younger people are getting picked up in testing in FL and other parts of the country. This is actually good news since we can expect a qualitatively different outcome than what occurred under Cuomo. It should also translate into a lower rate of hospitalizations and lower death rate.

It’s also good news because we are going to need the youngsters ‘help’ if we are going to get to herd immunity.

Now, if we can just get our idiot/experts to open schools up K through college.

I’m hearing anecdotal things about people getting tested positive on admission for elective procedures; then they go onto test family members since the one individual was positive.

Seems to be a recipe for a spike in COVID cases. What all of this suggests is that COVID is way, way more prevalent in our population than was first supposed.

If it's anecdotal, it's bullshit. There was a line of 700 cars at the Jacksonville testing site today. I doubt any of them are families of people who tested positive when they had elective surgery. That isn't even a drop in the bucket. Just another excuse from you. Florida's response was a disaster. Intelligent people knew this when it happened, but the OP obviously didn't. Do the math. The fact you are here excusing that utter failure speaks volumes. 28,000 cases in three days.
 
Rightys create their own reality. The facts are indisputable, Florida is having a huge Corona problem. They were warned by the health professionals. Trump believed Corona was a myth. Open up and help me in November. So what if people get sick and die. Get your priorities right. Both cases are exactly as expected. People would get sick bigly and the rightys would lie about it.
