Florida Gov. DeSantis proves the naysayers wrong

Also, Darth - you don't want to admit it, but Fauci turned out to be right about this whole thing.

He cautioned against re-opening too quickly, and to follow CDC guildelines (while you supported rushing back). He was right - you were wrong.

Hence the name "Fauxi". He likes those fake inflated combined numbers.

Nah - he was 100% correct.

Had we listened to Fauci & the CDC, we'd be a lot more like Europe. Instead, we're essentially the worst country in the world right now. Thousands more will die, and the economy will suffer more.

None of the above is true.

An entirely fabricated post. Believe whatever you want to believe - but you have been woeful on virtually everything during this crisis. Or, "the dud," as you called it.

We already did this once lol.

Let’s do it different this time. Let’s see what Fauci has been right about.

Fauci minimized COVID in February [oops, just a month earlier than Darth]. There 0-1.

Fauci was against masks before he was for them. That’s cheating. 0-2.

Fauci cites outlandish computer models: 0-3

In thinking every region would take its turn becoming NYC, Fauci and the CDC says shutdown elective procedures. Results in an unmitigated disaster for hospitals across the country.

Fauci 0-4. Darth Omar would have shut his pie hole at this point.

Keep in mind we pay Fauci very well to do *nothing but this*. How is possible a random internet user named Darth Omar knew shutting down electives was not only unnecessary in all but the hardest hit areas but was going to put a lot of hospitals behind the financial 8 Ball? Lead to all sorts of unintended consequences like missed or late diagnoses. Yet, Fauci hit the panic button and the rest is history.

I know it’s an election year and you want to play Pin the Tail on the Trump Donkey but there were a lot of balls being dropped all across the field.

Under Fauci’s leadership.

I'm sure you could outplay Tom Brady on the football field too. ROTFLFMAO!!! Your ignorance is only matched by your massive ego.

Common sense dictates that three errors in seven months hardly disqualifies anyone considering the umpteen blunders Trump has delivered during the same time period, and, if one needs any further validation of Fauci, just look at NY, following Fauci recommendations coupled with real leadership, NY has transitioned itself from the epicenter of the virus to one of the least infected today, almost the exact opposite of Florida, Texas, and Arizona, who all followed Donald’s advice and are forced to cut back today

Had we listened to Fauci & the CDC, we'd be a lot more like Europe. Instead, we're essentially the worst country in the world right now. Thousands more will die, and the economy will suffer more.

ECDC reported correct numbers for cases and deaths.
The U.S. CDC has inflated ours by COMBINING probable & confirmed reports.
You've been lied to. We all have. Get woke.

You know where Fauci is light years ahead of you? Well, aside from everywhere. With a new virus, of course some mistakes will be made at the start.

But see, real experts like Fauci learn quickly, admit their mistakes and adjust to what ACTUALLY WORKS. Instead of you and Trump, who just stay in your lane and ignore new developments, research, studies and tangible results.

Which is why you're so wrong, and Fauci has been so right. Fauci's "leadership" ended with the last time the country really listened to him - and shut down in March. Which put us in a good spot. From there, he has been ignored. He said we were rushing to re-open without CDC guidelines - you ADVOCATED RUSHING.

And again - Fauci was right, and you were as wrong as you could be. Just look at the results. Republican governors pulling back on re-opening measures, and even talking about shutting down again.

Darth Omar, 0-100.

We squandered every gain that was made during the shutdown. That's the tragic part of this.

Millions of Americans sacrificed so much. And the Darth/Trump/Fox crowd took that, and threw it away. All we had to do was re-open responsibly, and follow CDC guidelines.

Fauxi is a CDC puppet; follows the incorrect totals narrative.

That response is meaningless conjecture. Do you really think something like that flies in any kind of legit debate?

It's like waving the white flag.

How are cases reported?

We have three levels of case definition: suspected, probable and confirmed cases. What is measured
and reported by governments and international organizations?

International organizations – namely the WHO and European CDC – report case figures submitted by
national governments. Wherever possible they aim to report confirmed cases, for two key reasons:

1. They have a higher degree of certainty because they have laboratory confirmation;

2. They held to provide standardised comparisons between countries.

However, international bodies can only provide figures as submitted by national governments and
reporting institutions. Countries can define slightly different criteria for how cases are
defined and reported.4 Some countries have, over the course of the outbreak, changed their
reporting methodologies to also include probable cases.

One example of this is the United States. Until 14th April the US CDC provided daily reports on
the number of confirmed cases.
However, as of 14th April, it now provides a single figure of cases: the sum of confirmed and probable.

Suspected case figures are usually not reported. The European CDC notes that suspected cases should
not be reported at the European level (although countries may record this information for national records)
but are used to understand who should be tested for the disease.

Even your heroes at the NYT provide the disclaimer now....................

In data for the United States, The Times is now including cases and deaths that have been identified
by public health officials as probable coronavirus patients. Some states and counties only report
figures in which a coronavirus infection was confirmed through testing. Because confirmed cases are
widely considered to be an undercount of the true toll, some state and local governments have started
identifying probable cases and deaths using criteria that were developed by states and the federal
government.

Confirmed cases and deaths are counts of individuals whose coronavirus infections were confirmed by a
laboratory test. Probable cases and deaths count individuals who did not have a confirmed test but were
evaluated using criteria developed by national and local governments. Some governments are reporting only
confirmed cases, while others are reporting both confirmed and probable numbers. And there is also another
set of governments that are reporting the two types of numbers combined without providing a way to separate
the confirmed from the probable. The Times is now using the total of confirmed and probable counts when
they are available individually or combined. Otherwise only the confirmed count will be shown.

So, if you don't like the ECDC who have stated the guidelines or
the left-wing NYT for confirming that those data methodology guidelines are correct......
just what data do you follow? Twitter & FB????

Did Desantis predict enormous upticks in Corona? He should have known. He was warned. Of course, he will be among the first to open schools. He will do it during the rising pandemic. But politics drives his actions, not safety and respect for the people. He is very Trumpian that way.

Florida governor finally releases the true numbers of people hospitalized with coronavirus

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis finally caved in to pressure to release the actual numbers of coronavirus cases in the state’s hospitals.

Until Friday, DeSantis had refused to reveal the true numbers, leaving many in the state unaware of just how bad the cases were. According to the Orlando Sentinel, a whopping 7,000 Floridians are in hospitals hoping they survive the virus.
