The phrase "monkeying around" is not the same as "monkey this up".

I have heard the term "monkey(ing) around" thousands of times in my life, because it is a commonly used term. But prior to DeSantis shoving his foot in his mouth, I have NEVER heard the term "monkey this up".

DeSantis is a fucking liar scumbag just like the orange clown whose fat ass he kisses and all you right-wing shitbags who are providing cover for him are liar scumbags too.
 
I was born and raised around and by uber far right wing Conservatives. I have heard black people referred to as monkeys many times. It is obvious to everyone not a Trumpster "conservative" exactly what he was talking about. Own it, the base will remain loyal.

Don’t lie, it wouldn’t matter if Desantis said monkeying around or monkey up the race hustlers and thought police would still would have gone postal over it.

Like I told my wife, they (the media) are looking for any thing to give them (liberals) an advantage in the election [in Florida]...and the sad part of it is he could have used the F-word or the D-word in that context and there would have been less feigned outrage by the media.

One of my fishing buddies is black. I was waiting on him to get in the truck so we could leave one morning. He was fiddling with an obviously broken reel. I said, “How long you plan on monkeying around with that reel, boy.” Neither of us thought anything of it.... And when you look at what I said there are two things I’d get crucified for were I a conservative public figure.

Just think if Blazing Saddles came out today.... I wouldn’t watch it nowadays because I’ve made some changes in my life concerning what I view as entertainment but I watched it with the baseball team from college when it was re-shown at our local drive in and we all had a ball and still use some of the lines today when we get together. We were white, Black, Hispanic, American Indian and who knows what else. What a politically incorrect movie though. Wow times have changed. Glad I’m nearing the end.

LOL. It's a classic example of reverse racism. The talking heads in Fake News believe that blacks are monkeys. So if you use the term 'monkeying around' and there's a black nearby, you MUST be referring to them. Heh - they're such twits.

It’s also a load of crap. Desantis can own the election by just trashing socialism—it’s an easy target. That’s why conservatives were cheering when Gilium won. It would be an incredibly stupid strategy on Desantis part if he made some sort of allusion to racism just to appeal to a slim minority of racist whitest.

And here is why it would be stupid: he would risk losing black voters AND white voters who want nothing to do with racists. Just so he could appeal to the Klan-friendly types? Give me a break. If Desantis is that stupid he deserves to lose the election.
