What part of the movie did he miss?
total non-sense. the manager can ask him to leave. only then will it be trespassing.
Then the cops can remove him?
so a prominently posted sign should suffice? And no verbal warning, just call the cops? I am ok with that.
yes. I do not believe that NM is a verbal notice state and specific signage is sufficient.
I suspect that a ticket constituts a legal binding contract. And by using that ticket to gain admittance you are agreeing to the terms of that contract.
The entire problem here seems to stem from the way the police held the offender and obtained his id, etc. Not the fact that he was escorted from the theatre.
The last theatre I was in did not have any employees old enough to carry short firearms. Like they are going to confront an armed man.
Damned legislation requiring an armed employee for every business not wanting armed customers on the premises.
Lets see now how many did I dkewer in this thread....
You are in error.
are you seriously trying to say that the fine print on a movie ticket that says 'no firearms allowed' would be binding?
Perhaps, I am not a lawyer (thank gawd). But it is a contract according to the article from the law school I posted. How binding that contract is will be the question. I think at the least it puts you in a tresspass situation automatically. and would void your right to watch the movie.
And I will for sure take their word over 911 guys crap on this.
