Fatal shooting at Denver screening of The Dark Knight Rises

YOu know, I find odd that people who want to have a gun for personal protection are called paranoid. But those same gun owners are called irresponsible because of the chance that a criminal will invade their home.

Please pick one.

You are way too defensive to argue this issue objectively. As responsible as you claim to be, and I believe you are, 1) it is still no guarantee and; 2) your vehemence about your gun rights allows for those who are not as diligent as you are. So until sane policies are adopted and implemented, the problems persist. You don't have to like that or agree, but that is the way I see it, I'm not alone, and statistics bear it out as true.

Yeah, good luck with that one....So you concede that it's not the legal ownership that is the problem, but the illegal guns...Tell me, how will restricting legal gun owners stop illegal ones?

We don't have sane gun policies in this country. It may come as a shock to you, but there are myriad ways to approach this besides 'guns / no guns'.

Of course there are and the adults need to have a national discussion.

Yes, with congress people who aren't owned by the NRA.
Good luck with that but it's a good thought. Money being the 'root of all evil' is living up to it's reputation thanks to our idiotic and undemocratic supreme court.

we have to work together to craft smart policy.

what we have now is a people who are far more interested in winning a game rather then winning our own self respect.

Ok, then lets discuss sane policies. But lets not make ridiculous statements that there are no responsible gun owners, period. And lets not defend those statements.

No there is no guarantee. But, if someone goes to considerable effort and expense to secure their guns, I would call that being responsible.

Fine. How do you effectively ensure everyone is as responsible as you? Because until you can do that, it doesn't matter how responsible you are. Do you now understand why your belabouring of that point is useless to the discussion?

heave off your handlers folks and look to your neighbor.

by letting the wealthy own our system with money we cheat our selves.

Stop letting the wealhty buy your vote with commerials designed to haze the truth.

Amen brother.

I am belaboring being called an irresponsible gun owner. Considering the amount of time and effort I have put into my hobby, and being safe at it, that should be understandable.

On the topic of responsible, I don't think removal of all privately owned firearms is the answer, do you?

Way to blanket statement your way out of any actual discussion....Care to elaborate?

trying to disarm the entire country would be like trying to end all drug abouse through force.

No sane person wants to end all gun ownership.

Its fools paradice.

we need to craft good healthcare for ALL and craft SANE gun ownership.

you just let the wealthy buy your mind so they can keep us fighting each other while they rape us once again.
