Far right holding out on McCarthy!

Trump has mafia connections. How do you think he learned to operate a business?

First, he had to learn how to give handjobs to the Mafia. His "connection" was more subservient than business partners.

Agreed he learned business ethics and tactics from the Mafia; he was a wannabe gangster with all the hot chicks, sometimes under 18 years of age.

Do you think the Mafia has any compromising photos of him?

are you referring to how globalism is anti-american worker?

Did you see how Trump had bank accounts in a dozen countries so he could do business in their currencies? You whine continuously about globalism and then vote for Trump, the ultimate globalist. You make no sense.

regardless, tariffs and enforced borders still benefit the american worker.

Not an "oops" Desh, as it was not a prediction. It was the goal to have it done in one vote, he didn't reach the goal. They are still leveraging for more things, some that a Speaker cannot guarantee (like chair of committees, the Committee on Committees chooses those things). These folks do not trust him. And the Republican Party is gifted at circling up a shooting squad and firing in order to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

This will get settled eventually, and I still think McCarthy will be Speaker.

You should start your own thread on "globalism". Like why does twump have Chinese bank accounts he was trying to hide and what was Jarod doing taking secret trips to Saudi Arabia for?

We're talking in this thread about what a shit show your party has become.

House members (that) didn't vote for Kevin McCarthy. Here's what they want

Rep. Dan Bishop, R-N.C.: The House Freedom Caucus member was one of seven members to sign a "Dear Colleague" letter outlining concerns, like "increasingly centralized decision-making power" that result in "massive, multi-subject bills that are unable to be amended or fully read, all driven by supposedly must-pass defense and appropriations measures" that amass large debt.

I agree.

Michael Cloud, R-Texas: Cloud cites wanting to get the country on a "path toward fiscal responsibility" and notes that he'd "worked for months in high hopes and good faith that our conference would chart a course away from the status quo."

Yes.

Bob Good, R-Va.: Good, who has been at the forefront of the opposition, seems like one of the most dug in members. Good calls McCarthy part of the "swamp cartel," claims that despite giving McCarthy a chance over the last couple of years, he hasn't done enough to stop massive spending bills

You think Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert are going to solve that?

:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

They want attention. They are babies throwing a temper tantrum. The dumbest members of Congress are those 20. The Republicans are not being controlled by their hearts, or their minds. They are being controlled by their asshole. It's that simply.

Others I didn’t mention are far right nationalists, kooks, nuts and (2020) election deniers.
Not sure what their beef is with Kevin. He’s kind of one of them.

So you agree with a system that has centralized decision-making power" that result in "massive, multi-subject bills that are unable to be amended or fully read, all driven by supposedly must-pass defense and appropriations measures"…

Interesting.

Interesting.

I agree that it's a major problem. But changing the rules isn't going to fix that. Getting rid of the idiots in Congress will fix that. It's on the voters. McCarthy isn't in favor or opposed to any of those things. He is in favor of one thing.... him becoming Speaker. If you think anyone involved gives a shit about the American People, I've got some swampland in Florida I'd like to sell you.

The more rational that voted against Kevin were voting against a corrupt system, not so much against the person.
At least that’s how my vote would have been.
As an added Plus, it’s a big “fuck you “ to Trump. Not that should weigh into any vote but it’s lagniappe.

I lament the fact that some of those that voted against Kevin are nuts and kooks because I’d prefer to completely dissociate myself from them.
Our senator Dan Sullivan voted against the last boondoggle bill because he had 48 hours to read a 4,155 page $1.7 TRILLION SPENDING BILL.
That is insane.

The far right is trying to hold out on letting Kevin McCarthy become speaker of the house.

It looks to me like the radicals will cave, and McCarthy will become leader, he may wish he had not.

You may be right that these radicals being Far-Right, but, perhaps we need to take a closer look!

Because there may be more dynamics to their makeup, that doesn't meet the eye at the moment.

This may well be a coalition of people that have just drawn their line in the sand, of Republican House Members who want their party to move on past Donald Trump and have the guts to say so, and do so!

Doing so and saying so are still two separate things!

It takes both to actually be able to move on!

Just a thought!
