Sensationalism is what incites the base to vote. Real Republicans will always vote R to keep said tax cuts, so there's no reason to appease them

That's your problem when you morph into a troll. You see this as a zero sum game, when it's just a discussion. The fact that McCarthy is second in line is much more serious than if there were two people ahead of him in line.
This isn't a win/lose thing.

The situation is worse than you originally stated, doubled down on, and finally gave up on.

Let's hope we never see this in action.

Unless both POTUS and VP die in the same accident, I think the chances are slim that McCarthy is ever seated as POTUS.

I imagine that the VP names a new VP, who is now first in line?

Disagreed. You are confusing observing those who see it as a zero sum game with those believing it is a zero sum game.

Your post exchanges with Diesel are proof that both of you see only Winners and Losers, no in between. Zero sum game is a common position of political extremists. The old “my way or the highway” belief system.

Obviously both of you are very upset with me as your posts about me prove.

The Sensationalism the Republicans use is there for distraction, to create chaos, confusion, a cover-up for their lies, to lay a cloud cover for their obstructionism, so that everything plays into their party-based selfish narratives of self-interest. Politics is actually their religion now- NOT CHRISTIANITY!

And it has this evil intent that feeds their over-inflated egos they THINK allows them to own the Democrats! Well that is what they THINK! It ain't happening! We know better!

THANK GOD, THERE ARE JUST ENOUGH GOOD SAMARITAN REPUBLICANS, THAT HAVE FINALLY SOBERED UP, AND HAVE TURNED ON TRUMP NOW, AND WANTING TO DO WHATEVER DAMAGE CONTROL THEY HAVE TO DO TO SAVE THEIR PARTY.

Considering that Trump vocally supports him you'd figure the "Trumppers" would too... Personally, I think he's just jumping in front of a parade and calling himself the leader, there really isn't a good alternative. The goal here (again just my opinion) is likely to get it done in one vote, and they are leveraging their vote to guarantee a few things (like investigations and some rules changes).

I still think McCarthy will win. It is interesting, that a lot of Trumper‘s don’t actually support trump on this issue.

Trump has lost the movement he founded.
