Facist bullies company!

I ask the question because I am a republican. Liberals see headlines politicians give them and ask no questions. A republican will ask about the details of the deal and what are the future (unintended) consequences of the deal. I see nothing wrong with asking for the specifics of the deal

LMFAO

absolutely agree.
Obama was an aspirational POTUS. Fist black man " post partisan" most transparent"- characteristics of a new deal type.

Trump is the nuts and bolts guy. the guy who is supposed to get under the hood and tune up the economy.
Do I care what my mechanic says -or what he does? If my car is running better -he's a successful mechanic

Interested in a great deal on a bridge?
It is right in Brooklyn.
Also available; some wondeful upland in Florida.

That doesn't change what I said. You seem to assume the worst from your President Elect, instead of taking his statements at face value.

3D ignorantly tries to play the gotcha game with Trump. Voters realize that the guy likes to speak his mind without the filter of politics. He talks like we do- goofs and gaffes included.

Wait, should we take him literally or not? You're confusing me, SM!!

I have no doubt Trump utilized the entire portfolio of business the parent company has with the US Government. I am sure he also looked @ how much business the Federal Government does with Carrier. I highly doubt "promises" or "threats" were made but am equally sure a good businessman would point out his/her direction. What I mean by that is I am sure Trump spoke of lowering the Corporate Tax and building up the military, a business they are in, and looked and spoke to the whole and not the part.
I guarantee the Board of Directors at the parent company look at the whole and not part also.
So I doubt Trump made any promises but used the above scenario to get his way with Carrier. Those poor bastards had no choice being stuck between the parent company BoD and the President Elect.
Welcome to business 101. There are no dangled carrots, nor threats. Just stick with the facts of the business environment.....the other side can figure it out pretty quick.

Shit fer brains; he threatened to pull their military contracts. That is available info even to assholes and idiots if you chose to look.
You are right about the 101 part though.

a) I invite you to post a link to any of YOUR posts that predicted Trump would be elected president, before Trump won his first State primary.

b) It's not clear to me your #37 undermines cawacko. That Trump would not win was widely recognized "political wisdom" and usually reliable poll * predictions predicted a Hillary victory up until the day before the election.

* Pew, Marist, Gallop, CNN, NYT-CBS etc

Who the fuck are you talking to?

I know.
I attended high school too.
I didn't say the exec. is powerless.
My observation is the U.S. president's executive power is not unlimited.
And know it or not, believe it or not, like it or not, admit it or not; there's been some tension about this during the Obama administration, whether he's exceeded his authority in this regard.

I understand omniscients like you already know what President Trump will do; all details of every action, for 4 years in the future.
But you see, I'm merely mortal. So I can't address the specifics until they become known, and he hasn't even been inaugurated yet.

- classy -

I invite you, I encourage you to quote one SPECIFIC assertion I've posted which you object to; and refute it.
But the best you have done is your vulgar reference to bovine scatology.
Candidly, I prefer a substantially more elevated style of discourse.

If you want your discourse understood don't edit out the name of the poster you are quoting. WTF

Ok, you let me know when Paul Ryan comes out in favor of tariffs. And you predicted Romney would beat Obama and Romney would win Michigan, neither of which happened so your prediction record isn't exactly a stellar one.

and yet in the last year I have been right much more often than you......yes, I will let you know when Ryan comes out in favor of punishing companies that leave the US to set up factories overseas and sell their products back in the US.......and you let me know the next time Ryan tells you what he plans to do in the future......(assuming he has not done so in the last week, of course).......

You're right, I didn't think Trump would win. You thought Romney would win. We were both wrong.

You clearly don't understand Ryan and other House members who are ardent free traders if you think they are going to support tariffs and trade wars

4:PM/ET radio news reports:

- Carrier's parent company does $Billions in business with the U.S. federal government, and didn't want to get on the wrong side of President Trump about it.

- It also reports $7 $Mil tax breaks over 10 years.

That latter answers my earlier question, about what keeping these ~1,000 jobs here will cost U.S.

Don"t be ridiculos. Billions in defense trade is the real waste.

Billions in defense trade is the real waste. #59
"Trade"?

So you think the U.S. should not sell the additional F-35 Israel wants to buy?
