Every time a lefty posts on this board it is quite apparent they do not have, nor never had a job. Fucking welfare collecting assholes.
They're doing it because the government is forcing them to. Government mandates that end ICE vehicle sales in anywhere from 5 to 10 years for example...
If you haven't heard already, the California Air and Resources Board (CARB) approved a monumental regulation this past week. By the year 2035, all manufacturers in California will no longer be able to sell vehicles solely with Internal Combustion Engines (ICE). Meaning in just twelve years you will not be able to purchase a brand-new car with a gasoline-powered engine.

It takes time to design, test, and gear up for production so manufacturers are starting to move towards these government mandated, authoritarian, diktats. It isn't because EV's are popular or wanted, they're not. It's because radical Leftists in government are FORCING down the public's throats.

Gasoline is not "explosive." It is flammable. So is lithium.
![]()
Lithium is far, far more dangerous
![]()
Gasoline is a minor health hazard compared to lithium being a serious health hazard.
Gasoline is flammable but so is lithium and you can't use water to put a lithium fire out
Gasoline is non-reactive, whereas lithium is highly reactive.
That is what will happen here. The govt will force citizens to buy putt putt cars and then regulate how much and when you can recharge them. Freedom is quickly vanishing and idiots like Joey here can't wait to be controlled by the govt.
I know about a dozen owners of electric cars and not one of them purchased their cars because the "govt was shoving them down their throats". That is fuckin stupid, it figures coming from an ignorant fuck.
For every person who dies as a result of a lithium battery there are 1000's who die from gasoline.

And nobody with an EV is pumping 10 gallons of Lithium in their tank every week.

EXPERTS ARE PREDICTING AN ‘EV-PLOSION’ OF CHEAP, ELECTRIC CARS — HERE’S HOW LOW PRICES COULD GET
The EV market is booming, and there are a lot of exciting upcoming models. by Mila Dyson*/*May 18, 2023
In 2022, electric vehicle (EV) sales were on the rise but mostly remained popular for buyers with a large budget, with many consumers still finding them too expensive. Several of Tesla’s models were among the most popular EVs across the U.S., and Car and Driver reported it as the bestselling luxury auto brand.
Why 2023 is the year of the EV
Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), many EV buyers will now qualify for all or part of a $7,500 EV tax credit when they go for a new EV. And Tesla and other carmakers have lowered their prices.*
So, as the numbers of EV models available skyrocket and the price of EVs naturally goes down, when the tax credit is considered, many more EVs will soon enter the mainstream, in what Tech Crunch called the “EV-plosion.”
What’re some of the most exciting upcoming electric vehicles?
The EV market is booming, and there are a lot of exciting upcoming models. Many higher-priced EVs don’t qualify for the IRA tax credit — they need to have an MSRP of less than $55,000 unless they’re trucks, vans, or SUVs (which can be eligible at prices up to $80,000). But the growth of the lower-cost EV is electrifying.
One exciting new prospect is the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV, which should be relatively affordable with a starting price close to $30,000. Once the $7,500 tax credit is factored in, it would come at a reasonable starting price of $22,500. This compact electric SUV will have an enormous range of 250 miles estimated between charges (or up to 300 miles with higher-priced options), so there is no need for any range anxiety.
The Fisker Ocean is a stylish SUV that its maker has released in Europe and expects to start delivering in the U.S. in June. The base model has an estimated range of 250 miles and a base purchase price of $37,499 — MAGA wets panties.

And now for some marketing BS from our favorite EV priest...EXPERTS ARE PREDICTING AN ‘EV-PLOSION’ OF CHEAP, ELECTRIC CARS — HERE’S HOW LOW PRICES COULD GET

It isn't.Why 2023 is the year of the EV
Inflation is not inflation reduction. Welfare is not inflation reduction. Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA),
Communism. It is unconstitutional to make me pay for your car.many EV buyers will now qualify for all or part of a $7,500 EV tax credit when they go for a new EV.
Not really. The price of lithium is going up, you see.And Tesla and other carmakers have lowered their prices.*
Meh. Marketing BS doesn't impress me. Communism is unconstitutional. So, as the numbers of EV models available skyrocket and the price of EVs naturally goes down, when the tax credit is considered, many more EVs will soon enter the mainstream, in what Tech Crunch called the “EV-plosion.”
Who pays you to sell these things? What’re some of the most exciting upcoming electric vehicles?

So you have no problem with making me buy your car. Fuck you.it would come at a reasonable starting price of $22,500.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Only 250 miles???????!? On a new battery?????!? THEN you get to spend hours and hours recharging it!This compact electric SUV will have an enormous range of 250 miles estimated between charges
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! There certainly is! Denying your range anxiety doesn't make it go away!(or up to 300 miles with higher-priced options), so there is no need for any range anxiety.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Another loser model! What a short range! I could buy THREE gasoline cars of this quality for the price of this piece of shit. The Fisker Ocean is a stylish SUV that its maker has released in Europe and expects to start delivering in the U.S. in June. The base model has an estimated range of 250 miles and a base purchase price of $37,499 —
Other than the above being a clear Rule 5 violation about posting copyright materials, so far the "experts" predictions on EV's have been wrong except for where the government intervenes, like Norway, and forces the public to buy the damn things. Nobody in a free market wants them. They're like a Trabant in East Germany. Nobody really wants one, but it's the only thing you can buy thanks to a dictatorial government, like the one Joke Biden runs...
Nothing wrong with more options
How do people in apartments charge them?
There are lots of cheap electrics now and more to come. Charging station manufacturers are selling and installing them at apartment buildings.
