EXPERTS ARE PREDICTING AN ‘EXPLOSION’ OF INEXPENSIVE ELECTRIC CARS

The world is literally full of electrical outlets. There is a severe limit on gas stations, so no options for an ICE. But even if there are no electrical outlets in your life (I cannot imagine that in modern America, but hypothetically speaking), then the fact that other customers have access to electricity mean that stations cannot charge too much.

Plugging your car into a 15 amp 120 VAC circuit ensures one of two things, probably both. The breaker associated with that circuit trips, and your charge takes several days... That assumes, of course, that you can plug the car in in any case.

Gasoline can go into one of these:

And you can take it to the car.

What do you put your electricity in to carry it to the car?

We are hearing a lot of stories about chargers that dont work for various reasons.

Chargers that don't work, ones with the cord cut off by copper thieves, ones that have the wrong plug and you have no adapter...

Notice the lack of reporting on what the exact problem is from the Mind Molders (nee journalists)....the reports of broken charges I get from my grapevine...the alternative news network.

Other than the above being a clear Rule 5 violation about posting copyright materials, so far the "experts" predictions on EV's have been wrong except for where the government intervenes, like Norway, and forces the public to buy the damn things. Nobody in a free market wants them. They're like a Trabant in East Germany. Nobody really wants one, but it's the only thing you can buy thanks to a dictatorial government, like the one Joke Biden runs...

Nobody wants one but every car manufacturer is coming out with models faster than anything? Mercedes now has about 5 brand new models. Don't cry, don't fucking buy one if you don't want one.

EV will never work for me.

That doesn't mean that every city should not be using them for fleet vehicles.

For some applications, they are great.

EXPERTS ARE PREDICTING AN ‘EV-PLOSION’ OF CHEAP, ELECTRIC CARS — HERE’S HOW LOW PRICES COULD GET

The EV market is booming, and there are a lot of exciting upcoming models. by Mila Dyson*/*May 18, 2023

In 2022, electric vehicle (EV) sales were on the rise but mostly remained popular for buyers with a large budget, with many consumers still finding them too expensive. Several of Tesla’s models were among the most popular EVs across the U.S., and Car and Driver reported it as the bestselling luxury auto brand.
Why 2023 is the year of the EV
Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), many EV buyers will now qualify for all or part of a $7,500 EV tax credit when they go for a new EV. And Tesla and other carmakers have lowered their prices.*
So, as the numbers of EV models available skyrocket and the price of EVs naturally goes down, when the tax credit is considered, many more EVs will soon enter the mainstream, in what Tech Crunch called the “EV-plosion.”
What’re some of the most exciting upcoming electric vehicles?
The EV market is booming, and there are a lot of exciting upcoming models. Many higher-priced EVs don’t qualify for the IRA tax credit — they need to have an MSRP of less than $55,000 unless they’re trucks, vans, or SUVs (which can be eligible at prices up to $80,000). But the growth of the lower-cost EV is electrifying.
One exciting new prospect is the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV, which should be relatively affordable with a starting price close to $30,000. Once the $7,500 tax credit is factored in, it would come at a reasonable starting price of $22,500. This compact electric SUV will have an enormous range of 250 miles estimated between charges (or up to 300 miles with higher-priced options), so there is no need for any range anxiety.
The Fisker Ocean is a stylish SUV that its maker has released in Europe and expects to start delivering in the U.S. in June. The base model has an estimated range of 250 miles and a base purchase price of $37,499 — MAGA wets panties.

The word "cheap" is exactly what the name implies. Ever check the fit and finish on your Tesla. Ever try and restarting and driving away when the car is getting a forced update, ever run low on battery when driving to a programmed destination, and have the car correct itself by turning off all heat or air and slowing down to a crawl so it can get you home?

EV's have a long way to go before you will see one in my garage and then it will be my third vehicle and considered a toy to go to the grocery store, and you can rest assured I will not join other EV's drivers by sitting in line at a Starbucks for 45 min waiting for my pumpkin triple spiced latte grande for $12 a pop.

Terry is wetting his panties over the popularity of EVs. She can't come to terms with being wrong about them so she has to convince herself and everybody else that 16 million people were FORCED to buy EVs by tyrannical governments. What a MAGA moron.

According to a report on electric cars by the International Energy Association – an intergovernmental organisation that provides data, analysis and policy recommendations on the global energy sector – there are currently 16.5 million electric vehicles on the roads globally.

Like in America, we’re seeing a huge rise in popularity worldwide. It represents a 300% increase in EV sales since 2018.

Electric car sales doubled between 2021 and 2020 to reach 6.6 million sales.
