If they weren't in such demand, manufacturers wouldn't be producing them, dealerships in all states, not just the blue ones wouldn't want them, and consumers wouldn't be buying them at such high prices. The government cannot create demand, only the market (consumers) can.
 
I understand that the electric car manufacturers are using the same discount carbon fiber that the makers of the ill-fated min-submarine
bought. Could be just a rumor, of course.

My brother is on the waiting list for a plug-in hybrid. That way, he can cruise to work and home 5 days a week using zero emissions and the ICE will be there anytime he leaves the grid. The government isn't making him do it, he wants it that way, and I think it's a really responsible purchase.

He won't be doing any submarine travel so I doubt any carbon fiber will make a difference. Besides, autos have to pass rigorous crash tests these days. That ill-fated submarine did not.

People are leaving Calif. in droves. All the taxes are going with them.

I'd much sooner see it go to black Americans than illegals. I'd prefer it go to disables veterans.

They both restrict freedoms. But, since it was sarcasm, I wasn't really defending either. I was just showing restricting freedoms is sometimes acceptable to both right and left.

Again and sarcasm aside, they aren't the same thing. I think you should be free to smoke in public places. I think business owners should decide if they will allow or prohibit smoking in their establishments not the govt. Abortion of the other hand is NOTHING like that. To just say they both restrict freedoms is simplistic.
