It already is. The problem is that the White Christian Nationalists want to make it the only religion allowed in America and only their version of it...which isn't Christianity. It's mammon-worship wearing a Christian mask.

It's probably going to be the majority religion for the rest of our lives. Especially since most immigration to the United States is from the global south, which is heavily Catholic and increasingly evangelical Protestant. It already is. The religious composition of the United States has been fairly stable in half a dozen Pew Research Center surveys conducted since 2020. The Christian share of the adult population has been between 60% and 64% in these surveys, while the religiously unaffiliated share has ranged from 28% to 31%. Adherents of religions other than Christianity have consistently accounted for 6% or 7% of U.S. adults throughout this period.![]()

you sound like a fucking idiot. It's probably going to be the majority religion for the rest of our lives. Especially since most immigration to the United States is from the global south, which is heavily Catholic and increasingly evangelical Protestant.
What has to happen is that Christian nationalism has to be reduced to a fringe movement,
and liberals cannot stand by and agree by default that evangelicalism is just inherently right-wing and conservative.
it seems to be a bipartisan cabal. It already is. The problem is that the White Christian Nationalists want to make it the only religion allowed in America and only their version of it...which isn't Christianity. It's mammon-worship wearing a Christian mask.

I think white Christian nationalism is more prevalent in the South or in white rural areas of red states. I've been to two different evangelical churches here and have never seen or heard anything that had a Christian nationalist vibe to it.Agreed on all points.
