Epic fail of Kansas' tax-cut plan offers a lesson for us all

Even worse my dear is the 1.5 trillion deficit this tax plan will create. You of all people have always demanded balanced budgets and far lower deficits yet you are more than willing to add trillions to our debt. I do say trillions because these "projections" are never accurate and do add a whole lot more to our deficit that originally projected.
Let me guess, the tax cuts will pay for themselves- right?

We won't know for sure until we try it, I suppose.

We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it, chamber pot. :rofl2:

Of course it is worth discussing. anatta would love to avoid that discussion. Trump family stands to save a Billion dollars under the proposed estate tax elimination. Further, he would also like it if we didn't discuss the fact that this "reform" amounts to the largest theft from the poor to the rich in history. Sorry anatta, the more you insist it isn't a tax cut for the rich, the more obvious it is just so.

Is there a tax on liquor in Spamalot?

We did "try" it in the Bush years and it was a disaster, my sweets. I am sure you couldn't care less what is in the bill, as you will support any piece of dreck coming out of this congress, just like you supported the massively flawed health care bill.

You don't know what I supported, my dingleberry.

If "we have to pass it to find out what is in it" was good enough for Obamacare, what's your issue? :rofl2:

If "we have to pass it to find out what is in it"

You know dam well thats fucking bull shit, honey pot. Why don't you grow a pair some day and post the then Speakers entire comments, asswipe.
Or maybe you were happier with the republican health care bill that managed to do everything that you wined about the ACA and far worse.
You are a total piece of shit. Bye bye

Looks like I hit a nerve.

When libs can't refute, away they scoot.

When they've got no rebuttal, watch them scuttle.

:rofl2:

What's the cause of that expensive real estate and high cost of living?

A couple of reasons. One is the strong desire to live out here. Beautiful weather, beautiful people, amazing companies etc. etc. So we have strong demand (at least when the economy is good).

What we don't do is build enough housing to meet the demand so it becomes a basic supply and demand issue. We have extremely strict regulations on building, as well as strict environmental regulations, that make new development both expensive and time consuming. Land use laws in many areas of the Bay Area and LA allow only single family residential. You've probably heard of "smart growth" which was some what of a progressive idea to build denser housing in areas near public transit with the idea less people would the need cars. It's generally a very good idea however people here fight even that.

So basically peopm who currently live here and own their home are incentivized to fight new development as the value of their homes continue to rise. So cities here will allow new office or r&d development but not new housing. One doesn't need a PhD in urban planning to realize of you allow new office development you are going to need a place to house all the workers but we don't build the housing.

So what we are seeing is a state with amazing wealth but also the highest poverty rate when cost of living is included. The average home in the Bay Area is around $749K. How many people can afford that?

Try Google. Many factors, including conservative economic theory and policy. But I am sure your paradigm is that the Great Recession had nothing to do with George Bush, Wall Street Banks, and Republican governance of the nation.

I cant help but notice you cannot muster a defense of the supply-die nonsense that you undoubtedly have spent a life time defending. Any reasonable person had to look at the facts and conclude that the supply side tax cuts of Bush and Brownback were utter failures. Though I am sure you were probably cheerleading them at the time.

This may not be possible, or ever happen, but perhaps someday you will reflect on the pain and damage that's been caused by things you were a cheerleader for: The Iraq War Disaster, George Bush's tax cut schemes, and Supply Side nonsense.

Cypress, you're not actually answering what the cause was. I've read numerous books on it and have my opinions. I'm asking what you think. And just saying Bush and Wall St isn't an answer because that doesn't tell us anything. Nor does just saying conservative economic thought. Point to actual specifics about what happened. The economy doesn't work in a vacuum. Things build up over time and we have people like the Fed that played a major role.

You're an educated dude. You can speak more specifically than just saying Bush.

i don not care about the estate ( death) tax. it's small potatos in term of taxes and the budget.

I do care about 2x the standard deduction, since most people use that, and closing the loopholes
so the rich can't use those to avoid paying taxes.

I care about about SIMPLIFICATION and reducing the corporate tax to improve GDP- a necessity.
That dynamic growth ( as opposed to the static growth used by the GAO) covers most of the deficit
but more importantly brings in revenues.

Most importantly is we get good high paying jobs to stay here, and get new growth .
Which is what we need more then anything

Of course you don't care about a Billion dollar gift to Fearless Leader's family.

The standard deduction increase is chump change for most people, in fact most people will have to pay more.
Only the very rich get tax cuts and they are substantial.

Why do you hate honesty?

Of course you don't care about a Billion dollar gift to Fearless Leader's family.

How is it a GIFT you repugnant moron? Another leftist ninny who believes that what we all earn belongs to the State and what they allow us to keep is a GIFT. You're really a moron of epic proportions.

The standard deduction increase is chump change for most people, in fact most people will have to pay more.

Because you say so asshat; we don't even know what the actual law will be because it hasn't been written yet. But here you are like a gullible dumbfuck parrotting the leftist talking points you've gullibly been fed. Dunce.

Only the very rich get tax cuts and they are substantial.

Could it be because they pay MOST of the taxes you brain dead twit. Damn you're stupid; which explains why you're a member of the Party of the Jackass. You yer haw like one.

Why do you hate honesty?

This from a whiny repugnant sociopathic lying cunt on steroids. You leftists have ZERO self awareness.

Think Sir Rantsalot AKA Runetard likes paying Taxachussetts liquor taxes?

I bet he sneaks over the state line to get a break on the cost. :rofl2:

I said that, pie filling. What I did not say is that the Chicago Tribune is liberal.

Eric Zorn is notoriously liberal; and he is a columnist who penned the puff piece you cited from the Chicago Tribune.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Zorn

That does not mean that I said that the Chicago Tribune is liberal.

In the article you cited as "evidence", liberal Zorn cherry-picked a quote by Burdett Loomis, who is self-described as a liberal.

That does not mean I said that the Chicago Tribune is liberal, either.

You apparently share many characteristics with your chosen spirit animal, not least of which is presenting an easy target.

:rofl2:

Yeah, the fact that the Tribune took the article, a known conservative leaning paper in Chicago kind of undermines your obsession with a report that ' leans' 'Derpist' for you.

See, here's a reality check, journalists and established news organizations regardless of relative leanings of left or right like the Chicago Tribune & the Sun Times in big cities with 'edumacated' people read complicated points of view. The collective challenge of fact checking large communities, also known as cities have standards, something Koch brother towns, though they strive in some ways can't do. Those standards are journalistic integrity, not internet Blog blathering that folks like you think are 'equal' facts. The reality is that this particular journalist, that you obsess over like a first time you read a conspiracy flier in the locker room closet when you asked repeatedly for coach to stop Calling you Brother of Koch, is not only a blame the messenger stereotype from circa 19 forty fucking 3 but is in reality an obsession with the wheel of a messengers cart, which to quote the Great Cheeto n' chief, sad. This is why you are a fucking moron. I purposefully linked the Tribune article so that slow assed dense Wiki linking dumb shits like you could, 'think', which is a challenging word for me to use since making a smarty like statement about the core issue of the REALITY of Kansas causes name changing, picture posting responses from Master Short bus. Regardless of politics, mental shorty the state is imploding because of core issues related to what it means to be a society and taxation is a way to frame the commons of a society. It's not about more or less tax, it's about taxation & how it's used, in Kansas it's none, no tax, fucking nothing and no use what so ever to the society, the community called the State of Kansas. You know Richard trickle down, GOP/Libertarian wet dream manifest on the non Federally funded Farmers that are millionaires in the country and unsurprising in mono state the Federally subsidized farmer state is failing, on the Fucking street, in Koch city, Wichita. Don't take a wiki, left leaning journalist that a known wiki reading right wing Paper in Chicago would pick up because in reality 'Brown-ass-back' stabbing dumb shit the governor is a failure on every level for that state, period. Oh and let's not forget that's the Koch brother/ALEC writing laws think tank enabler libertarians are from, Witchita. The architects for this cluster fuck of failure. Their 'magical thinking' bullshit right wing libertarian crap failed in THEIR own state. No wiki to see that, no "Derpist' leaning journalist to get that, one just has to iive there or have family that does. Didn't take a wiki article or a journal newspaper for me to figure out, just took me visiting family in the state to see it front line, you? Not so much, just an obsession with some 'lefty' preconceived writer that you used Wikipedia to reinforce that you are a fucking disconnected moron and don't take 'MER moneyesesss'. You really are nouveau riche dip shit, if you 'think' yur got's 'moneh'. Last laugh bitch, at YOUR expense. East coast OLD money states that I'm visiting right now, laugh AT you, not with you. Well in reality they don't give a shit. I just as a visitor laugh AT you while seeing other parts of the country, that, So. Moved. On. 16th century Old money style.

Damn but you are a fucking stupid moron, that has no honor in stating your Forum name. You have no clue what ANY of this is about. You are just one of the thousands of enablers of Midwestern'teen' fucked in the ass by big monined, anti Adam smith monopolistic corporatists manipulating trust fund baby Government manipulators on a stick of Chinese made 'Murican' flag waving dumb shit parades in Die now asshole town no fuck where midwest. And that 'Koch' brother love is so far up your mental ass that all those words I said are only about 6 of the 12 inches of stupidity your gurgling for street money, later if you bahhhahah, vote for them mental protein can take in. Even then, it's vomited back up, like the meat puppet dumb ass you are.

if you deduct your local taxes from your feds, and lose exemptions - yes.
Otherwise it's a tax cut .

The Estate tax is an emotional pull ., i'd get rid of it just because it can hurt small farmers,
but its just not that important
