It is about your race and it is my race as well and I see white privilege, and I hate it. I am also going to do more to try and fight it.

If you doubt it exists, just read the posts of your fellow white males and see the majority of them wear it proudly. I never thought you did, but I am trying very hard to convince myself, lately.

It is only about our race because desh and darla and bac made it that way. I agree white privilege exists and at times i can certainly fall into it. But the vile crap spewed by desh and bac is pathetic.

Darla, Rune, and Desh are democrats .. I'm not. They all voted for and supported Obama .. I didn't. There is no one on this board more critical .. make that, sanely critical of Obama than I am. I post my criticism of Obama without any concern that I will offend any of them .. because we can disagree without being disagreeable. We post our often strong, passionate, and differing positions and we come away as friends.

Your claim that they are "fawning over me" is an insult to their intelligence. Obviously you believe if not for their girlish emotions, they'd be agreeing with you.

Howey and I had a nasty fight .. it ended .. we moved on. Yet from what I can tell from his limited posts on this issue and his 'Thanks', it appears that Howey pretty much takes the same position on this issue that the rest of us do. Is Howey 'fawning' over me too.

Are all the men who agree with the rest of us 'fawning' over me as well .. or is that term only reserved for women?

White privelege exists; racism exists.

The only way to fight it is individually. It's easy to say on an internet message board, and I know this will draw ridicule, but I don't see color. I never have, and I've never gotten it (as in, those who do). Same with religion, and gender to an extent, though there are inherent differences there that are undeniable.

Not seeing color is, to me, the best way to combat racism. That's why I see so much irony - and have a hard time digesting - the fact that it is those who are crying racism the loudest & most frequently, who are not just seeing color, and not just focused on it...they are obsessed with it. The world to them seems to be a place of different colors, and different value judgments based on the colors they see.

The prosecution didn't make it's case. That doesn't make me a racist, BAC. I'm not saying what GZ did was right, or even denying that his behavior was deplorable. As I said before, my first post this week was to remind everyone that a young man was tragically, unnecessarily killed.

I just watched Nick Cannon say the same thing about the verdict; is he a racist motherfucker, as well?

It is about race because race is at the heart of why Zimmerman noticed and called the police on Trayvon. If you deny this then I am sorry, but you are what they say you are because I believe that Zimmerman pursued this young man because of his race and he didn't want "this one" to get away. I can't believe the only strangers in his neighborhood at night were black men. His cals did not report elderly white males or females, just black males.

The reason he killed Trayvon is because of the assumption he made about this young, black man.

I am on their side on this one SF, it was about race and the white privilege of thinking all black males are a threat.

The prosecution didn't 'prove' its case in the Till verdict either.

Florida is a racist state with a LONG ass history of racist verdicts .. including the present.

None of that factors into your creepiness.

The town of Sanford has a very racist history. I wasn't surprised by the way this case has been handled.

Oh, never mind - you've been making shit up about me all day; so many lies.

I'm not going to say that FL has a judicial system that is devoid of racism; it doesn't. But, in this case, according to the current law, I don't think the jury made a racially-based decision. I think the prosecution did a poor job, and the evidence did not cross the reasonable doubt threshold; there was no clear picture of what happened at the end.

I do believe that the jury wanted to find GZ guilty of something, as some on it have indicated - but there was nothing in the law to do so.
