Elon Musk says he will make an alternative phone if Apple, Google ban Twitter

Why does "quickly" matter?

The hypothetical situation he suggests is that Twitter is cut off from its customers. That means zero income, and customers making new lives on other platforms. Musk has huge debts, and huge expenses.

Let's say it takes 10 years (the opposite of quick). That would leave Musk spending $50 to $100 billion of his own money to keep things going. At the end of that, he would be left trying to remind people of that app they used 10 years ago, but have not thought of since. In theory, people would have found better apps by then, or at least apps that their social network uses. There would be no way to make it work.

At this point I doubt building a phone is a difficult process.

Then you are a fool. Making an entire smart phone, from scratch, avoiding patents and copyrights, is very difficult. It is what we used to consider a supercomputer that fits in a pocket. The software alone is like writing a million books with no spelling, grammar, or plot mistakes.

Walt you are so full of shit and fake facts.

Android is not linux. Linux is not Android.

Yes very true, sadly Poor Dick doesn't know that.

Android may be based on Linux, but it’s not based on the type of Linux system you may have used on your PC. You can’t run Android apps on typical Linux distributions and you can’t run the Linux programs you’re familiar with on Android.

Linux makes up the core part of Android, but Google hasn’t added all the typical software and libraries you’d find on a Linux distribution like Ubuntu. This makes all the difference.

“Linux” vs. The Linux Kernel

The big difference here comes down to what we mean by Linux. People use the term “Linux” to mean many different things. At its most basic, Linux means the Linux kernel. A kernel is the core part of any operating system.

We also refer to Linux distributions as simply “Linux.” However, Linux distributions aren’t just the Linux kernel. They contain many other pieces of software, such as the GNU shell utilities, Xorg graphical server, GNOME desktop, Firefox web browser, and so on. That’s why some people think the term GNU/Linux should be used for “Linux distributions” like Ubuntu, Mint, Debian, Fedora, Arch, openSUSE, and others.

Android uses the Linux kernel under the hood. Because Linux is open-source, Google’s Android developers could modify the Linux kernel to fit their needs. Linux gives the Android developers a pre-built, already maintained operating system kernel to start with so they don’t have to write their own kernel. This is the way many different devices are built — for example, the PlayStation 4 uses the open-source FreeBSD kernel, while the Xbox One uses the Windows NT kernel found in modern versions of Windows.
You’ll even see the Linux kernel version running on your device under About phone or About tablet in Android’s Settings.

Android is not based on Linux. It may use a highly modified Linux kernel, but it is not Linux. You have it right. Linux is more than just the kernel.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You ARE paranoid! You don't get to declare what I post. You are not the king.

You are so damaged. You're in such pain and you hate yourself so much your only catharsis is to inflict pain on others. What a pathetic, small creature you are.

Lose my shit over Musk? The guy's an innocuous clown.
Just because I may comment on his status as a steaming pile of pigdhit isn't to be interpreted that I give a fat fuck about him.

FYI, the Fox News narrative is that "the looney left is losing its mind over Elon". Every MAGA accusation is a confession!
