This is fascinating on multiple levels. For starters is Musk for real or is he doing this for lulz. The Board will shop this around but what if they don't get a better offer and still turn this down? You then have the possibility/likelihood that Musk drops his stake and what will that do to the price?

Outside the transaction itself you have people declaring the end of democracy if Musk takes over the company. It's truly fascinating.
