Elon Musk offers to buy Twitter, take it private

its never easy to know what Muck is really up to but I kinda think he intends to kill Twitter. There is no fixing it as the left will abandon it if it goes free speech.

Based on the reports of how twitter workers were up in arms over Musk being asked to be on the board, I would suspect his taking over the company would result in a rather large brain drain as workers leave the company. It might make for a rather expensive boondoggle for Musk if he tries to go through with it. Twitter only works if it has employees.

I'll wonder a little off topic here but curious your thoughts. We've heard people state that if someone doesn't like how Twitter monitors content then create your own platform. IF this were to go through do you think someone else would try and create a Twitter Part 2? (assuming a bunch of people leave Twitter) In theory it's easy to say that but with the network effects etc. it's not so easy (not impossible but not easy) to create a new platform with the same reach, number of users etc. Where would people turn to do you think?

We already have GETTR so no not that difficult.

bwahahahaha.

Musk can hire engineers that can go into space, but can't hire programmers to manage a web company? you are a fucking idiot

hint - I'm a top level programmer - we aren't at NASA's level.

Cool story for every occasion.

I wonder who Musk thinks should control this private platform? It couldn't be him, could it? I see him wanting control of the content.
