There were no musk ups with the vehicle the astronauts were supposed to come home in but didn't.
NASA brought that vehicle back to Earth safely and intact.
The only reason the astronauts did not return in it was due to an abundance of caution on the part of NASA.
Something I wonder if a profit oriented businessman like musk would exercise....

You just said NASA should have never flown the Space Shuttle.NASA had to take risks that Musk doesn't have to take, because they were mandated by congress and President to be at the cutting edge of rocket technology and manned space flight.

Musk could sit back and study what NASA did.

If it weren't for all the hard work NASA has done over their seven decades history of space exploration, there wouldn't even BE an elon musk or a space x.
