Georgia has reportedly removed thousands of people from the federal food stamp program in recent months

The state removed nearly 8,000 people a month from the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) between April and October, compared to less than 400 a month from October 2017 through March of this year, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, which cited data from the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS).

Georgia officials told the newspaper that they are now able to better track who is receiving food stamps and remove ineligible recipients through a new data management system.

Good. Ineligible recipients shouldn't be getting them.

Since the taxpayers aren't responsible for freeloaders unwilling to feed themselves and you see this as a bad thing, should we assume that you have personally taken it upon yourself to feed all of them? If not, STFU about someone else being forced to do it.

GEORGIA is purging voters from their rolls. Starve the old ones and let them DIE off. Starve the brain's of the little ones so their brains won't develop and grow. 70-80 IQ citizens won't be hard to keep out of the voting booths as they won't have skills to work anything but menial jobs and it will be that much easier to disenfranchise them as each comes of voting age.

The whole problem with SNAP and any other Safety Valve Social program is they never have the resources needed to administer and police them effectively.

The same thing can be said of the IRS.

If you build it, the abusers and thieves will show up!

Don't build anything, if you can't put enough resources into the management of it!

It looks like your ability to read and comprehend the written word is a problem; because the article clearly states: "...Georgia..." and "...The state...". :palm:

But then, you've never let FACTS get in the way of your rants, in the past; so carry on. :good4u:

Why do you personally support people going without food?

The whole problem with SNAP is that it exists at all. If you want people that refuse to provide for themselves to have something, personally fund all of them you choose to fund. The problem with that is those of you that claim someone that won't do for him/herself should get something never personally provide the resources to administer such a concept.

Why do you want people to starve?

I used to be a little insensitive to those who expected others to look out for them too, in my younger days. But, I have had a change in my bleeding heart since those days.

About 20 years ago, after attending a night college class, I dived into one of the bars nearby for a beer after class. I was having a beer, when a stumble bum walked in, pulled up a stool and sat down. The man asked me if I could spare him a beer. The bartender asked him to leave. I said, I would by the man a beer.

But, I told the man, "I'll buy you a beer, but you owe me in return for the beer, an explanation of how you got in such destitute shape, that you have to bum beers.

So, the man, said, "Look! I used to have all the money in the world, and have everything I wanted". He went on to introduce himself as Timothy Knox an attorney. He said, he used to have a nice home in Highland Park and he was one of the most successful lawyers in Dallas. He had pictures to prove it. One day, he took his wife and kids out to the lake for a boat ride in their nice new boat. They tried to go under a highway bridge too fast and somehow wrecked the boat under the bridge, smashing into a pillar, and his wife and two daughter and himself were all thrown into the water in every direction. He said none of them were wearing life vests. and as he swam to help one of his daughters, they all submerged and didn't reappear, and ended up all drowning.

After the funerals of his entire family, he started drinking, and his drinking got to a point where he lost his job, his house, and everything else he owned in short order.

He said he ended up on the streets, and a heavy alcoholic.

Well, I asked for it! Didn't I?

I bought him a beer, gave him $5, and wished him the best of luck! And I've realized that life has some very bad things that can happen to us.

It changed my whole perspective on poor people! I don't judge them without knowing them anymore!

Take care of your people banjo boi, welcome a few to the compound.

According to US Department of Agriculture data, 23 million households and 47 million Americans in 2013 received benefits on an average month under SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). thee quarters of those households included a child, an elderly individual or a disabled person. The average monthly benefit per household was $274. 40.2 % of SNAP recipients were white, 25.7 % black, 10.3 % Hispanic, 2.1 % Asian and 1.2 % were Native Americans. Some 63% of Americans are non-Hispanic White, however, which would explain some of this ironic statistic. However, the claim that the welfare system has not benefited Whites and has mostly benefited Blacks or any other minority group has finally been turned on its head.

Interesting story. Might make a best seller in the fiction section if you put it in print.

Someone reading your fiction could take some interesting lessons from it.
Don't drive too fast under a highway bridge.
Wear life vests when on a boat.
For the most part, things don't just happen. They are a direct result of a choice.
No one owes you a damn thing and it's not the taxpayer's responsibility to offset the results of choices you made.
