Dramatic video of Police rescuing 10 year old boy from building fire

Dumb wish, but brings up the question, why didn't the kid break his own window?

Don't know. Why didn't he just open it?

Answer: because he doesn't have a father to teach him how.

Women know how to break shit too.

The house where I raised my kids has second story bedrooms. My daughter's was in the front with the sill height of her windows about 13 feet off the ground. I taught her to use a chair, anything, to break the window if she couldn't open it, then to get out and jump past the pointy holly bushes to the lawn below.

My son's room was in the back and due to the sloping lot and walk-out basement, his window sill was about 22 feet off the ground. And the "ground" is a concrete walkway. I instructed him to open the window, hang from the sill, then swing over and land on the tool shed roof below.

Our fire department goes around to elementary schools teaching kids what to do in a fire.
