A far more likely scenario is that the kid's father has never been around. It's like that for 90% of inner city black kids. Due to policies of Democrats like yourself, and Jack.

Dumb wish, but brings up the question, why didn't the kid break his own window?

Answer: because he doesn't have a father to teach him how.

The house where I raised my kids has second story bedrooms. My daughter's was in the front with the sill height of her windows about 13 feet off the ground. I taught her to use a chair, anything, to break the window if she couldn't open it, then to get out and jump past the pointy holly bushes to the lawn below.

My son's room was in the back and due to the sloping lot and walk-out basement, his window sill was about 22 feet off the ground. And the "ground" is a concrete walkway. I instructed him to open the window, hang from the sill, then swing over and land on the tool shed roof below.
