I worked in an Amazon warehouse briefly in 2019. I was demeaned if I dared to take more than a couple of minutes in the bathroom. People got fired or let go at the drop of a hat. There was no kind of safety protocol in place, and because you had to maintain rate all day, guys would constantly sabotage each other.
It just wasn't worth $14/hr.
