Don’t let Dems turn America into a European-style, cradle-to-grave welfare state

It is strange. We have the worst wealth gap of any country on the planet. We have moved the wealth of America up to the top one percent. That does not alarm rightys. The thought that help may be given to the poorest of us is abhorrent to rightys. We are the only industrial nation without universal healthcare. That results in millions going without care and the rest of us paying double for what we are allowed to have. Caring about the people is called socialism. That alarms rightys. The fact that the people on top are pushing for a new form of government that will give all the power to themselves, does not bother them. That is Fascism.
Rightys want the American experiment to end now.

Define 'wealth gap'. Buzzword fallacy.
Redefinition fallacy. Fascism is government manipulation of markets. It is a form of socialism. Democrats.
Democrats have destroyed the Union. They have discarded the Constitution of the United States and have converted the federal government into an oligarchy so they can implement their fascism and communism.

Bill Gates didn't invent anything.

Every bit of software he sold was stolen from someone else.

Windows came from the Plato system, the Dynabook project, and the MacIntosh.
DOS came from CP/M, and that came from the ISIS project at Intel.
Spreadsheets, word processing (which Word really is terrible at), and every other Office product was similar stolen.

Bill Gates is also a Democrat.

Microsoft is a terrible example of capitalism.

Better to use Google or Amazon. Better to use the bakery down the street, or the guy running the hot dog stand, or the trucker on the highway. All of that is capitalism.

I should have used the term "created." He created a company called Microsoft. That company united personal computing and created thousands of millionaires and wealth along the way. That's the point of this exercise. Yes, Gates is a dimwitted liberal. Yes, perhaps he didn't "invent" anything. But he did elevate computing to the huge trillion dollar business it is today.

He didn't even unite personal computing. It's not even united today. Personally, I don't see theft an example of capitalism.

Prior to Microsoft, users had a multiple of various word processors and spreadsheets they used. Trying to communicate between them was time consuming and frustrating.

Finally, we had a spreadsheet software that could be modified to look like a professional finished document instead of grid lines and pre-programmed fonts. If you could use Excel, Word was easy to use and format because it used many of the same pull down menus. All of these were basically WYSIWYG. What you saw on your screen, you could print.

I am not sure what your beef is with Microsoft, but it created a HUGE jump in productivity and created a LOT of wealth. My guess is you were an Apple fan and think that Gates MS DOS stole their ideas. Not the case.
;)

Word is not compatible with Word. Spreadsheets are not compatible between versions.
Finally, we had a spreadsheet software that could be modified to look like a professional finished document instead of grid lines and pre-programmed fonts.
Already had that.

Big deal.
All of these were basically WYSIWYG.
Already had that too.
What you saw on your screen, you could print.
Depends.

Is the paper in your printer the correct size? Is it selected? Is the driver compatible with your printer? Is Windows still running? Is Windows wanting to stop everything and do an update of trying to print (or edit!)?

I am not sure what your beef is with Microsoft,
RQAA. It's because they steal stuff developed by others and call it their own.
but it created a HUGE jump in productivity
No. It created a TON of people wasting their time fighting Windows.
and created a LOT of wealth.
By theft.
My guess is you were an Apple fan
No.
and think that Gates MS DOS stole their ideas.
Pay attention. I never said MS-DOS, CP/M, nor ISIS came from Apple.

No, he didn't. Gates was and is a great salesman. DOS was originally an operating system developed by a little company in Seattle called Seattle Computer Products as QDOS (Quick and Dirty Operating System). Gates and Microsoft just developed a cleaner version of QDOS as DOS or MS DOS and Gates then sold that version to IBM for their 8086 PC computer. The reason the 8086 was so successful was that the source code and operating system were public information, something IBM had insisted on in buying DOS.

What that meant was for the first time there was a cheap PC that didn't have a proprietary operating system that the owner demanded royalties from for every copy and use. That resulted in a flood of new programs that could run on the 8086 and started the PC computer revolution. It was genius from IBM that did that not Gates or Microsoft.

Since then Gates has been behind the learning curve most of the time but used his market share leverage to make programs similar to ones that were innovative and successful like Sun Microsystems Internet browser or products like the Office suite that were just different enough to get around copyrights and take out the competition through volume and pressure to not use competitors.

Gates is your typical greedy businessman and nothing more. He's no innovator or genius. He's the sort that knows how to get innovators and geniuses to turn out a new product that's just good enough to make him lots of money. In that sense, he truly is a Capitalist in the Robber Baron mold.

Has the time come already?
OK.

I vote for a European-style, cradle-to-grave welfare state.

I can get by fine as it is now,
but fucking over Reichnuts makes me happier.

Many of those jobs, require no skill, and no need for more than minimum!

That's circular reasoning. Besides, don't you conservatives believe that the market determines worker worth? So if every "unskilled laborer" were to quit today, and if the United States economy were to come to crushing halt as a result, wouldn't you agree that the "unskilled laborer" is actually worth more than $7.25/hr?

Imagine if every Amazon employee went on strike tomorrow.

Amazon employees make much more and minimum wage is irrelevant as many even fast food workers start at a higher wage already!

That's circular reasoning.

As opposed to your uneducated and illogical reasoning? :palm:

Besides, don't you conservatives believe that the market determines worker worth?

Wrong again uneducated wonder dunce. Supply and demand determines a workers worth. For example, if you are a structural engineer, you are more likely to demand a high six figure income and be very employable. But, if you are an uneducated illegal immigrant with no job skills, you're a dime a dozen and therefore, likely to make low wages.

Now, because you are an uneducated wonder dunce, I am going to tell you the secret to getting a better paying job. By either getting a college education, OR, learning a highly skilled trade in high demand.

Lastly, because you are an uneducated dullard prone to parroting moronic leftist talking points, who is forcing ANYONE in this country to work for less than they are worth?
:palm:

Fabricating make believe scenarios to make your lame lie filled arguments makes you look like a dishonest dumbass. :palm:

I'd like to imagine you having a coherent argument that isn't full of lies and strawmen. :palm:

Don't let fascists conservative criminal treasonous vermin turn America into a 19th century cradle to grave robber baron, child labor, black slavery, women barefoot and knocked up, disease riddled backward ass uninformed uneducated superstitious dirty filthy rural hellscape!

Fixed it for ya!

Who wants to work behind a cash register dealing with Karen customers all day for minimum wage and little or no benefits?

No shit, and what they call no skill requires much more skill than your blue hair has. I'd love to shove Wolverine at the grocery checkout and watch the line explode ten miles long and the mistakes
pile up.

"Uh whats the code for rainbow chard? I'm 97 years old and have no idea how this contraption works? I can't hear you please speak into my ear horn, boy. Uh how much change did I give you?" -wolverine after a month's intensive training

This from a person who does not have the education or skill set to be even a Walmart greeter. One just cannot make this shit up.
