Donald Trump Praises Saddam Hussein

Trump has made it clear that when it comes to world leaders he admires, the more authoritarian they are the better. On Tuesday, Trump reiterated his fondness for tyrannical strongmen when he praised former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

The presumptive Republican nominee said at a rally in North Carolina, referring to Hussein. "He killed terrorists. He did that so good. They didn't read them the rights. They didn't talk. They were terrorists. Over."

This is not the first time Trump has praised Hussein — or a number of other dictators for that matter.

He has also said he admires Vladimir Putin and says North Korea's Kim Jong-un is "amazing".

"You have to give him credit," he said. "How many young guys — he was like 26 or 25 when his father died, take over these tough generals, and all of a sudden, you know, it's pretty amazing when you think of it. How does he do that? Even though it is a culture and it's a cultural thing, he goes in, he takes over, and he's the boss. It's incredible."

And what does he keep on his reading table as well? He would love to be dictator and thinks that is the way it will be when he becomes President. What a joke he is.

Why is everything that weakens your point or proves you lied or were wrong a "gotcha" game? You can't discuss anything that you don't agree with. You whine and whine I won't discuss the issues with you, howevrer, when I do, you almost always cry "gotcha" game.

Do you think Iraq is better off without Saddam? And do you believe Trump was incorrect in saying Saddam was good at killing terrorists?

That is a really good point, more of his patented "do as I say and not as I do" troll technique. Though, I really don't think he sees himself as being disingenuous, I really think he believes he is always civil, never insults, always remains on topic and never plays gotcha games. It was called a certifiable lack of self awareness.

I think I get Zappa's mind set. History is replete with evil men that historians overtime have come admit had some, mostly very few, good qualities. It happens all the time, not just with mass murdering genocide racist evil people like Hitler. I bet even Zappa could find one, just one, positive quality Trump has. Or maybe Zappa is not a Christian and believes mankind has no good qualities no matter how bad they are.

If Zappa is not a Christian, I can understand this thread a little bit more. But what Trump said is true. Saddam was efficient at killing terrorists or those opposed to him. AQ etc, could never get a foot hold in Iraq because of Saddam's brutal ways. That is simply a FACT.

And all Trump did was state that FACT, and Zappa turns it into his normal GOTCHA games.
