Donald Trump might be more popular than you think (Politico)

no. watermark stole my patented method of trolling called troll truth. You create a cloud of possibilities, where you troll with the truth, and truth a bit with the troll. Then when you get called out for trolling, you say no you are being straight up. and if you get called out for believing stuff, you say no you are just trolling. By the way, this post is also a truth troll. so don't take it too seriously.

So because I know what watermark is doing I have to address it head on.

Our level of trolling is so above your head you don't understand the delicate dance of what watermark and I are doing. You can't appreciate all the subtle moves and gamesmanship.
Sure you did Grind...sure you did. ;)

he's 100% likeable to me. He's got charisma and charm, he sticks it to the corrupt media, trolls people, he's hilarious.

this is not exclusive to being a douche though :P sometimes you have to be one to accomplish these things.

I guess we'll see how this plays out, but I have a hunch that Dems will ultimately be thankful that Hillary lost. '18 could have been a complete bath in the Senate if Hillary was President, and it's unlikely that Democrats would gain back much in the House or in the states. The only thing - and it's a pretty bad thing - is that they'll lose the Court for many, many years.

But Trump being Prez will likely limit their gains in one of the most favorable Senate election years I've seen, and likely see Dems make gains in the House & throughout the country. Even people who like Trump don't trust one party that much, especially when they're getting a little crazy like this.

ive seen studies that say self sorting is a bigger problem for democrats than gerrymandering. what democrats really should be pushing for is at large voting for congress.

if you sort it purely by economics, which everything seems to always boil down to, Trump is popular.

It's the economy stupid lol.

I've been saying for months that, everything else being equal, Trump will be judged on the economy and not his Tweets.

The fate of the democrats also rests on how the economy fares under Trump.

Apart from foreign policy [which is going to be interesting] the rest is noise.

how it works in other countries. In the philippines for instance you select 12 or 13 senators every election.
no wonder we have the best government in the world....everyone else fucks it up......can you imagine a california liberal trying to remember 53 different representatives?......why not just admit you want nothing but straight ticket voting......because thats what it would turn into.....

Poll: 36% approve of Trump's job performance

President Donald Trump enters office facing low job approval ratings and skepticism from voters, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday.

The survey found that 36% of American voters approve of Trump's handling of his job after his first week, while 44% say they disapprove. By comparison, former President Barack Obama received a 59%-25% approval rating in the first Quinnipiac poll taken after his inauguration in 2009.

it would. Which would be the point. Note I said thats what democrats should push. I am analyzing it from a strategic standpoint not a partisan one.

Waaaaaa, they do it too!

Who are "they"? It was the easiest prediction ever made. The problem was your blue shirts thought the red shirts were always going to lose so didn't seem to care about Executive power grabs... Now you suddenly do.

The libertarians, and the group I most identify with (simple constitutionalists), among us have been telling you exactly what would happen.

We were brought up to think that way. "Star Trek" was a very formative experience.
