Donald Trump destroys the republican party.

good! destroying plutocratic unresponsive partisan DC is draining the swamp

Welcome to the modern Republican party, whose base hates everything America has built since WW2, and who is more sympathetic to Putin's interests than loyal to America's. What a fuck-up of a political party. You deserve what you get.

Only a Democrat would try to defend DC politics

lets be fair.....we only hate the shit that demmycrats have built since WW2......

The Republican party is in ashes, lets hope that the Phoenix that arises is better than what it was in the days before its demise.

I think after this Rump disaster is over we will experience a quantum step forward, even bigger than what happened when W left office.

Why are Democrats finally anti-Russia after all these years?
I'd point out that they are experiencing what it is like to live under a puppet government if they hadn't (like the rest of you) been obsessively anti-Russian since Stalingrad.

I'm not a Democrat, so I can't say. Why have certain Americans become enamored with a nation that is trying to destroy them from the inside out, and whose goal is to subvert Western democracies? Tired of punching yourself in the face or something?

I am not anti Russian. I am against any nation interfering with our elections, but I am not anti-Russian. I am not a fan of Putin, basically because I am against authoritarianism, but I am no anti-Russian, in fact I love Russian people. I've been to St. Petersburg and Moscow and met some amazing intellectual people.

Agreed. I stand with Pussy Riot and those who dissent against Putin and the utterly corrupt kleptocracy of modern Russian oligarchs. I have family from Russia, and my roots (at least according to my last name) go back to Russia.

The difference between the old USSR and the USA seems to be that the former have mostly got over their conditioning. They have a rotten government, of course, but who doesn't?

Putin said that collapse of the Soviet Union is one of the great tragedies of the 20th Century. Which is why he's been trying to re-establish a semblance of Soviet power.
