Does Bill have dementia?

Have you read his book? He never went by "Barack" until after he graduated from Harvard.

Kind of like my brother. He had a real gay first name. "Lonnie". So he went by his middle name "Todd" which was almost as gay as Lonnie but what's a guy gonna do? But in his professional life he always went by "Lonnie" which I though was strange cause in his private personal life he always hated being called "Lonnie".

I did read his first book and I don't remember that. He graduated from Harvard a long long time ago. He goes by Barack now, and as I said, the people I have seen using Barry have done it to disrespect him. That is my view on it.

It's not of point. You're making a mountain out of a mole hill. Bernie has already be far more helpful than he has needed to be. He could have simply just not shown up or, as with Reagan and Kennedy and Cruz, been a divisive force.

I mean I don't get it. Why the purity ball in terms of Sanders? Politics is all about building coalitions. That's a big part of what makes it ugly.

i think its because they feel like they have no reason to vote for someone who is pro TPP and outsourcing.

On a personal note if Cruz won I most likely would have found no reason to vote republican so i can empathize.

I thought so, you soon went quiet! I will post it if you give me permission, wouldn't like to give you any reason to have me banned!

Does anyone here know what Tom is talking about? It sounds vaguely ominous? Has anyone received any PM's on this? That any of you have the balls to admit you received? You don't have to say out here. PM me if Tom has PM'd you something I should know about.

oh...and he and I are the same age so it's not that long ago to me. LOL

if Cruz would have won I'd be deeply depressed as it would mean my values are horribly out of touch with the rest of the country.

As a speaker she is boring. Obama excellent speaker. Bill Clinton excellent speaker. Ronald Reagan excellent speaker. Those are some examples of our political best.

Chelsea Clinton is not good. Like I said she lost her job at NBC because she wasn't.

I was one of those rare people who did not think that Reagan was a good orator. He just never inspired me, I always thought he was acting.

I've no idea about his fee fees, but I do know Hillary handled it a lot better when she lost, by a MUCH closer margin, in 08. I know that in 08 it was Hillary's responsibility to bring everyone together and smooth everything over. I know that in 2016 it was Hillary's responsibility to soothe the Bernsters and smooth everything over. I know that win or lose, it's the woman's responsibility to soothe the men. That's what Hillary and poor Bernie showed us.

I read an article that said the way she handled Bernie shows that she is a better deal maker than Trump, Trump couldn't get Cruz to endorse him, Hillary got Bernie to come on board.

I think you have a point there. Reagan was not so much an orator as he was a very skilled communicator. Reagan's approach to campaigning and political messaging was revolutionary and has significantly changes our political landscape. For better or worse I'll let you decide. LOL

To each his own. You also don't like his politics. Acknowledging someone's ability as a good speaker doesn't mean you have to agree with what they are saying.

Well, I was right there with you.

Never got it. Put him side by side with Obama and it's no contest, at all.
No but I have never seen a politician as skilled at communication and messaging as Reagan was. Reagans "Aw shucks" humble approach to oratory wasn't for everyone but his optimism, positive approach and his cheerfulness were critical tools he used to persuade others and though no one would argue that Reagan was a serious technocratic policy wonk...he certainly wasn't...he was great at distilling a message and using it to persuade others. I mean there is much to be critical of Reagan about but his ability to persuade others, mainly the war hawks in his own party, to change their attitudes and perception about the Cold War played a critically important role in ending the Cold War. America won the cold war ideologically...but hell everyone won the Cold War when it ended. It was a true win/win.

I mean I give credit where it's due and Reagans words have become part of our national culture and our modern image of ourselves.

"A shining city on a hill."
"Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall."
"If we love our country we should love our countrymen."
"Heros are not braver than anyone else. They're just braver 5 minutes longer."
"Life is one grand sweet song, so start the music."
"Recession is when your neighbor loses his job. Depression is when you lose your job."
"Hard work never killed anyone, but why take a chance?"

In this respect Reagan had orators beat. He could not hold a crowd enthralled for hours like MLK, Obama or Bill Clinton but he was a master of the modern sound bite. Hell he invented it and no one....but no one...does it as well as he did.

I always liked Reagan and I"m glad I voted for him but he, like Lincoln, is a far more interesting person if you try not to view him through partisan lenses or deify him. He's just one hell of a lot more interesting as a regular human being.

He's become a bit Yurtish, hasn't he.

You are an appalling arselicker, is there nothing this racist misogynistic cunt could say that you wouldn't support? Seemingly not, so spare me your tired old cliches. I guess like Bill Clinton you are good at compartmentalisation.
