The UK government is still imperialist, but most of the English and Scottish are against war. And probably the most peaceful countries in the world are the Nordic ones.
And really, there isn't much genetic difference between European peoples. There is a noticeable genetic drift going from North to South, and a slightly smaller one from North-West to North East, but neither are that big.

Society in general was a lot more violent back then, though. War has actually been on the decline, probably because of Democracy.

But that's only Protestants in America. European Protestants, including in the UK, opposed the war. The reason Bush had the support he did was because so many people in the red states blindly believe anything the Republicans do. These are the retards who say things like, the KKK is run by Democrats. Very different from the Protestants of Europe and the American blue states.

And Bush's war actually did have a lot of support from Catholic establishment Democrats like Biden. One of the few things Trump and Pelosi agree on is the supposed need for more military action. Which just shows that the military industrial complex goes beyond both party and religion.
