Signing consent that they won't sue for damages during the trip doesn't prevent them from suing for damages for what they were promised after the trip. Nor does the law accept a contract that was signed under a fraudulent claim.
Have you read the consent form yet? I suggest you do so. It doesn't prevent lawsuits for lies told about where they were going.

According to the news reports, they were told they were going to Boston. They were told there would be food and shelter when they got there. They were told they would have jobs when they got there.
If they were told those things that would be fraud under the law.
It didn't make my head explode. It might make Floridians heads explode when they find out that those 2 planes are going to cost them over $6M in legal costs trying to defend it and perhaps another $50M in damages if they lose the lawsuit.
