DeSantis gets out foxed by Disney

I wish we had a governor smart enough to have done something effective about Disney special treatment, and who would have done it for the right reasons.

Sure :laugh: They can dictate how a corporation cannot be organized. They tell corporations what they can and cannot do everyday. An example is the tell strip clubs where they can have a business and where they can't . They tell booze stores when they can open and when they can't be open. etc. etc. etc.

I find your cry about how it is for the wrong reason to be a bit silly. imagine jews being saved from another fascist form of government and being upset they are being saved for the wrong reason

all the people of the state vote for a governor on down.
nobody truthfully votes for Reedy Creek - it is a dictatorship controlled by Disney

Punishing Disney for voicing disagreement with him is fascist. A business can’t be fascist, only a government can do that.

Disney is Reedy Creek. They pick the candidates that run it, and their single vote is enough to win it

So Reedy Creek is a fascist organization.

DeSantis is not a dictator, he does what he thinks is right for the people and they can replace him if they do not agree with his actions

so you really don't understand even minimum requirements of fascism

Disney is not Reedy Creek, it was a entity created by Disney with local gov't cooperation to oversee operational functions of DisneyWorld, it was never the controlling entity at Disney. DeSantis thought he could control Disney by taking over the board with his stooges, and Disney just outfoxed him by removing largely most of the influence the prior board held. DeSantis got played

I'm still curious if the DeSantis people knew this was an eventuality.
