Been all over Florida on a bike, and while consulting. Pretty much like everything except I-95, Miami, and Naples. Naples for all the hoopla has poor infrastructure and a lot of old musty high priced hotels. Don't care much for Orlando and the geritol highway from there to Kissimmee FL

Miami is very different than the rest of the state, but it has some great things about it, you just have to know where to go. Orlando sucks. Tampa is the Shit.

I actually like flying into Tampa and hitting Sarasota and Siesta Key, we have access to a condo on Treasure Island

If I was going to live there, it would be in the St Johns area of Jacksonville or Fort Lauderdale

Those are the very liberal parts of the South. Florida would be poor without Tampa, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach... Check how they vote.
