Dems close gap w/GOP ahead of midterms

Hello Cypress,

.
Shock Poll: Democrats closing gap with Republicans ahead of midterm elections

A new poll has found that Democrats and Republicans are neck and neck in the upcoming midterm elections, with Democrats citing gun violence as their number one concern even as the economy continues to tumble.

The Siena College Research Institute poll, conducted on behalf of the New York Times between July 5 and 7 among 849 registered voters, found the race to control Congress is tight, with voters preferring Democrats to Republicans by just one percentage point, 41%-40%. Nineteen percent of respondents remain undecided.

However, among likely voters, the Times noted that 44% favored Republicans while 43% expressed support for Democrats in congressional races.

If there is a tragic mass shooting just before voting polls open, look out. Voters may hold Republicans responsible.

then you dont get polling. Dems are ALWAYS UP on generic.
The fact they aint..

So all the victory dancing the MAGA cult here is doing isn't based on actual data?

Is it just based on a hunch, a gut feeling... like the Kraken conspiracy theory was?

I don't think your assertion is correct, Dukkha.

2010 election was a genuine, massive bloodbath for Dems. And it was accurately reflected in the pre-election generic ballot polls, which showed GOP leading on average by 7 percent and in some cases up to 15 percent

The first term incumbent president always loses the congress half-way through his first term.

It's simply a widespread American psychosis, sometimes almost harmless and sometimes catastrophic as it will probably be this time.

We'll have two years of Biden being able to accomplish nothing but to veto bills that come to his desk from the Republican congress.
There's little to be done without sixty senators and a house majority, and even if Mitch ditches the filibuster, he can't ditch the veto,
which, unless Biden completely loses his mind, is all that he'll see.

What percentage of Americans do you think really and truly understand political ideology and / or political process regardless of ideology?
And why aren't we more alarmed that so few do?

Biden is not president. He was never elected.

There are a lot of stupid people out there. The "Dems" can't take our guns away and they can't stop violent crime -- in many ways they exacerbate the problem.

What do these stupid fuckers think the diaper dopers are going to do? lol

There isn't much to tell. By the time Trump left office, we had lost more jobs than under any previous American President.

And conservatives seem excited to run that back for a sequel. Inexplicably.

Did you conveniently forget about the "gift" China sent us? I am sure you did. For a bartender who should be versed on a variety of subjects, you exhibit the same intelligence level as Alexandria Occasional Cortex.

Talking about stupid people, maybe you ought to look at yourself.
